ESTP Dreams - are they concrete or fantastical?

I am pretty "out-there" in real life, but my dreams are pretty concrete and almost mundane. Sure, there is symbolism, but other than that it is mostly me working through various concerns and challenges in life. What about those who deal better with concrete details in real life - are your dreams more fun than mine or do you work out issues there, or both?

I also don't remember too many of my dreams. I just sleep. I wish I remembered them.

I never payed much attention to dreams until I kept having a recurring dream for months. I started to try and control them to get rid of it and eventually I got pretty good at it. It is something you need to keep at though and my skills in that department have waned. I still occasionally exert my will on some of them.

I would say my drams are pretty concrete for the most part though. Usually a lot of horror type dreams.

I never really used to have any dreams at all that I remembered even having, but over the past few years I've started having then. They're never abstract, other than real life actors taking the place of people that don't exist in my life. They almost always seem like glimpses into my future, or more, how I want my future to be, rather than random other things.

I assume you're talking about "in your sleep dreams", not aspirations. Anyway, it ranges. For the most part, like everyone else I won't remember my dreams. Other times they're so absurd that I do recall them or I wake up at a random part. It depends usually upon what I was thinking about before I slept. It combines themes, people, random thoughts into one. Some people in a dream represent two people I know IRL.

Nine times out of ten, I remember my dreams.

Like Treebob, I am able to control them thus aware that I'm dreaming and when I wake up, it's like I never really went to sleep 'cause I'm consciously aware of what I'm doing at all times. I just happen to act in some alternate universe.

I'd say my dreams are concrete though. Sometimes pretty mundane as nothing out of the ordinary happens. Other times, my dreams are an opportunity for growth as I can make decisions and act in a way that I never would've thought were possible IRL.

More often than not, I'm usually chased by cops though. I don't know why and they don't reappear as often anymore, but a few months back all I dreamed of was being chased by cops or other authority figures.

Didn't really bother me as it spurred my creativity and made me take bigger risks and believe that I could accomplish a hell of a lot more than usual. (Eg, I'm trapped nowhere to run, hey, let's jump out of this building even though I'm at the second floor)

In the past I have dreamed some more fantasy-like dreams though. Once I was flying (probably the coolest dream ever) and another time a friend of mine suddenly multiplied into thousand copies of himself. These dreams are quite rare though.

concrete. always concrete. i had a dream the other night about snow building up outside my window and breaking the glass. then i opened the door and it stopped. or being in a walmart and having to buy sea food. that was a weird one. every once in a while i have a fantastical dream like where i was in a boat flying down towards an ocean of clouds and a rainbow pool.....yeah.....

My dreams often involve things you would expect from an NF, such as sensations and all of that. I have a lot of flying dreams for the most part. When I was younger I wasn't able to stay in the air, now I can't come down.

I also have a lot of dreams about jumping. I can't run worth shit but I can jump like superman lmao.

My dreams almost always involve whatever i am doing the most in my waking hours or whatever it is i am thinking about the most while awake.

People who have seen me sleep say i look happy , people have said i talk in my sleep alot, most of the time i will wake up in a pretty good mood.

My dreams are not usually extremely lucid, i realise i am dreaming and have some control over what is happening but its more like im along for the ride kind of .

My dreams usually piss me off, if I have them. I usually dream about the next day or the day before, and every detail will be almost similar in every dream, except I'm given information from people that's different from what was given in real life, and then I get really confused as to what was the real information and what wasn't.
Otherwise, if I dream, I usually have control of them and they're very detailed and strange.

My dreams are currently about my ex girlfriend. She and other women I like will often show up and there'll be some confusing of my emotions and certainties. I'd say they're concrete. I don't know what an abstract dream really means...I think, hope, dreams come to a valuable abstractable point.

Mine are often sexual. Last night it was my ex-girlfriend coming back, before that a character from a show and I had a threesome, and before that it was an older older ex-girlfriend being all saaxual.

One time I strangled a bear. I woke up feeling anxious, horrible, and really sad.
I then start trying to place the IRL position/manifestation of the bear.

Friends of mine, bad decisions, reevaluations... mixes of places I knew, mixes of people I knew.

They're kind of in the middle of concrete and fantastical, I guess.
They're more on the concrete side because they could happen irl but it's incredibly unlikely. But then there's the questionable constant brutal murders I commit in other dreams (ie: attacking my friend, flipping her onto the ground, digging my soccer cleats into her face, and tearing it off).

I rarely remember my dreams. Only a couple of them pop up in my head. I had a nightmare as a teenager that I still remember. It ended when I was jabbed with a spear. I recently also had an odd nightmare, where I stumbled upon an old village to explore when an old lady living there would keep following me everywhere I go. It was an endless game of being chased. I actually kinda liked it. I felt like I was in a surreal movie. And I've had a lot of dreams where I slept with all the girls I crushed on. Dreams are random.
