My Dad's an ENTJ and he has mild OCD. When bird flu was talked about he prepared an emergency plan and stockpiled tamiflu. I have another ENTJ who is obsessed with cleaning. I'm wondering if obsessive tendancies such as this is common to ENTJ's???

Hmmm maybe it's not type related....I actually quite like the fact my dads stockpiling tamiflu, I know where I will go in an emergency!!! He did say if I was sneezing tough luck I could wait in the garage:laughing:

I dout that ENTJs are prone to OCD, but I myself have it & used to have it severely. Making sure things were lined up, tapping my figertips together in a certain order, etc etc. But again, I doubt this is related to my type specifically, as I've known many people with different MBTI types who have it.

Good question though =). It's better to ask & have a nay answer than to not-ask and wonder forever.

Yeah I think you're right. Dad's also brilliant at finding a great deal 2 for 1 offers that kind of thing.

I heard that about tamiflu also, supposed to just mask the symptoms but not really have much impact.

Maybe that's an NF thing lol :blushed:

OCD implies that the person has no control over it. So far, I do like to keep things organized, and I keep extras of the things I think as useful/ used often or harder to acquire.

It's more because of practicality than consuming urge to do so. : ]
Yeah I would say my ENTJ friend has the consuming urge... I can tell he doesn't want to do it but can't help himself.

Every time I leave a building and sometimes just a room or a car, I have to check my pockets for my wallet, phone and keys. I just pat them, so it's not too strange looking. This doesn't sound bad, except that I check them about 4-12 times each time I do this. Sometimes I have a pen or a camera in my pocket, and I have to pat those as well.

When I was younger I would constantly count the syllables in words that had an 'r' and create this odd pattern by tapping my foot for each syllable, trying to make the syllables containing the 'r' land on my right foot. I don't do it as often now, but it annoys me since I can't concentrate on other things when it happens.

I have a tendency to tap the tops of cups with my index and middle finger about 3 times each time i set them on a surface. *it only applies with glass cups though*

I also pat my pockets several times before leaving anywhere, even my car, to ensure that i have everything, even when i already know that i do.
