There is an inherent problem when it comes to typing and MBTI..that problem is that, it is very subjective and honestly, only you will know where you fit (it's hard.. I've been to 3 different types so far and believed I was each.. I'm fairly sure I am an ENTP because I can relate to it the best!

Leads me to my next point.. Your type is not an absolute, so if you have well developed F then it doesn't mean you have no T. Personally my Fe is quite well developed, by my Ti is definitely my dominate function. I am also pretty even split between the E and the I (I've spent the whole of today recovering after from last night watching docos in my room (still am lol don't think I'll go out tonight either) But I still love being around people and don't get drained at all! If anything, get bored if I am around the same people too often.. I like variety and I love packed out venues were incan interact with others.) mood can also affect what you get.. It has been shown and is the basis for a lot of psychological research, that different mood states have a direct effect on how you will interporate words and sentences. For instances, when I am stressed and depressed, I will test as an INFP.. This is definitely worth consideration.

So my advise is to get rid of the absolute mindset and just start being honest with yourself.. Another good method is to try taking a MBTI test and choosing the opposite answers (I found this personally removed a lot of my biases and confirmed I was an ENTP).

I still have no idea for sure whether I'm e or I. Most likely I, and I know the criteria, but I'm much more confused than I was in the past.

I understand your confusion. I am unsure of whether I am ENFP or INFP also. I am starting to think that I should just identify as NFP and not worry so much about the I/E. The latter three letters are the most important ones, anyway. We know that we use Ne, Fi, Si and Te, just not in which order.

Do you like hanging out with large groups of people? Do you have a large circle of friends? Do you need to relax alone to recharge after prolonged socialization? I personally only keep a couple close friends at a time, and do need time alone to recharge after socialization. HOWEVER - I am very magnetic and much more talkative and hyperactive than any of the INFPs I've known. It's really tough to tell sometimes, especially with ENFP/INFP. It would seem we are both close on the I/E axis. Ultimately, if I have to choose a four-letter type, I am sticking with INFP, because I live in "my own little world", don't like being in large groups of people if I can avoid it, and need time alone to recharge after socialization. Maybe you can use those same guidelines to come to a conclusion regarding your own type?

Have you not noticed that INFPs on the boards are constantly questioning their type? You're probably INFP. The best way to determine between ENFP or INFP might be to determine if you use Si or Te more often and/or efficiently.

Just from what I know about myself, I daydream too much to not be a "dreamer." I'm also extremely artistic (music, movies, photography). So I have developed some S too. But I think I'd like to think of myself as fairly intuitive. For now I'd say INFP or INFJ. Possibly S of either.
