I just can't understand all this. Why is it that I have developed an alter ego named chuckles the clown.
you see chuckles is a : suicidal, drug addicted, alcoholic, sex maniac, sociopath. all he wants to do is make children smile or make children cry. it all depends on how he feels. how did all this come about?

Have you ever gotten stuck in a rut where you were trying lots of new things to get approval (or because other people were trying it), but you didn't want to be tied down to just one of them? Then maybe you got out of the rut by getting into one thing you cared about and finding out everything about it.

Or maybe you felt depressed at some point because you wanted to find someone who would always be on your side, who would always be loyal to you, even in your crazy mayhem of a life, even when things looked like they were taking a dive? But you couldn't seem to find anyone and you lost confidence in your abilities to make new and interesting theories and points of view, how to see systems in a new way and find new uses for them, and you kind of got really depressed? And then it seemed like everyone was against you, trying to make you shut up and not do anything new? So maybe you eventually ditched people in general and did stuff on your own, and that solved it and got your confidence back.

    Or maybe:
...you've found that rules tend to impede your freedom too much and too often...
...or you like to mess with people by poking fun at them (although sometimes you make them angry...
...or you'd like to be more self-disciplined, but you're busy doing new and interesting things, and you can't be trusted to remember to eat on a normal schedule, or, sometimes, at all...
...or you like toys and hobbies that you can pick up when you're bored, leave them sitting around for a month, and then come back to them later...
...or you really enjoy taking risks because you like to see how you get out of it...
...or you love to argue, and maybe you'll even argue a point you know is wrong just because you know you can get away with it (or you get in trouble a lot for playing devil's advocate)...
...or you can see how something works systematically, you know all the parts and how they all come together to make one, giant, totally awesome whole...
...or you're kind of the "jack of all trades," the guy who knows a little bit about everything?

If it sounds like I've pinned you to the wall (or like I'm stalking you), then you're probably ENTP.
This definitely sounds like me. I was going through every example one by one and could easily think of a scenario to relate with. This was very helpful. Thank you.

You this Cosette is an example of a good buddy of mine. He is an ENTP and is greatly amused by sick and morbid humor. Thank God you aren't like him.

Um, my friend, it all came about when you picked up the crack pipe. Put it down. Then you'll make the children smile :)

Hell, I even have chatted with you on the phone on several occasions as well. At first you seemed very ESTP to me. Your mother told me a lot about you and you had a lot of ESTP characteristics. First off, let me say that I was completely wrong. You are not ESTP at all. It appears as if you have Ne after all.

You are a very difficult one to type because you contain both ENFP and ENTP characteristics. From what I gathered from you on the phone you have a very strong enneagram 7 fixture. ExxP personalities make up the vast majority of type 7 personalities. So you are definitely a ExxP. You seem to have inherited your mother's Ne, because your mind seems to move just as fast as she. This could also be an Se function, but considering the fact that you care about this system at all: that would make me think that you are more of a dominant Ne user, as Se users don't usually care about mbti and enneagram. Another question that you could ask yourself to determine whether you have Se or Ne is this: Ne users typically have a poor sense of their outer surroundings, day dream a lot about random things, look for the hidden meaning in things, enjoy metaphor and analogies, and are constantly dreaming about the future. Se users on the other hand, rarely dream about imaginary ideas and have a crystal clear awareness of their outer surroundings (they know what is going on around them 24/7), rarely think of the future and their minds are stuck in the present, speak in concrete language, and are not generally interested in abstract ideas. Again, I'm pretty sure that you use Ne.

Now the real question in my mind is whether you are an ENFP or ENTP? Now from what I just saw on the video, you acted a lot more ENFP than ENTP. However, there are some characteristics that I have observed in you that would lead me to believe that you are more ENTP than ENFP. For example, your mother used to tell me that you used to bully other children in your school quite frequently. This is much more of an ENTP trait than an ENFP one. Also, your mother tells me that you are pretty fearless and rarely back down from confrontation. This is also not an ENFP trait, as most ENFP's are quite docile. In fact, these two traits made me think that you were an ESTP in the beginning, but now leads me more along the lines of ENTP.

Now one must also take into consideration that I know that your father is quite the aggressive person. This could be a nature vs. nurture thing going on, because my mother also grew up with an aggressive father. My mother is an ENFP as well, and her dad was an ESTJ and was an enneagram 8 sargeant major in the army. Now because my mother grew up being around such an aggressive man, she became very aggressive as a child. In fact, my mother was also a schoolyard bully and she also used to beat up other kids. But, she later mellowed out over the years. This behavior that my mom exhibited was a product of her environment.

The next thing that I will add is that you seem to have the classic ENTP prankster personality. In fact, when I used to chat with your mom on the phone, because I was bored last year, I guess that you thought I was trying to date her or something (I wasn't I just like chatting with her), but you pranking kept calling her a "cougar" over the phone. This is more of an ENTP trait to be more of prankster.

I should also add that the fact that you are an actress and enjoy acting leads me more to an ENFP typing as well. Most Fi users are all about self expression and tend to crave the spotlight much more than ENTPs, so ENFP's tend to greatly enjoy acting.

Here are some real concrete questions to help you to determine whether you are ENFP or ENTP...

    1. Is it easy for you to be able to feel what others are feeling? Also, when you are watching a horror movie, or a drama, and a special character does do you become emotionally involved in the film? Most Fi users like myself often do, and Ti users usually don't. Perfect example: I like to watch horror movies often with my ENTP buddy. During the movies, I will often be like, "OMG poor woman, that is so awful! How can they hurt her like that! What a sick bastard!". Things like that happen, you can feel what others feel easily with Fi, but you can't with Ti.

    2. What are your moral and value systems like? Fi morals are very black and white, and Fi users will have very clear guidelines as to whether something is moral or not and will usually stand by this system. Ti users tend to have morals in "shades of grey. Ti users have some morals that are black and white too, but some morals are shades of grey. What I mean by this, is that they will say things like, well it would no longer be deemed immoral to do "so and so" certain act under certain conditions. Fi morals are not like this.

    3. How emotional are you? When under stress, Fi users will have a need to express their emotions by talking to someone about their problems with other people. ENTP's on the other hand, will just go into seclusion, get very philosophical and logically reason out their problems.

    4. What are you like when working on problems? Ti users will often automatically find the easiest way to do something and stick with that, and if you do something in a more complicated manner than it needs to be done, it will drive them crazy.

Think about this Cosette and get back to me.
I'll get back to you on that. I'm going to have to think about all of this. It's hard for me to have the tolerance for so many words on my screeeeennnnnn. But do YOU notice your environment? Think about THAT!

No I don't. Check out these two threads for more info...

Because of this reply and because you just took the PerC test again and came out ESTP, I'm starting to doubt your Ne.

@myexplodingcat I hate to be a party pooper but I'm not sure about that whole fairy thing. I'm definitely an ENFP... although my Te is fairly well developed... and the first option was nearly as appealing to me as the second, primarily because the second seemed a little bit... well... cheesy.

Or maybe I'm just an ENFP with a complex who likes being told I'm intelligent and having my ego stroked slowly and passionately... :*

Yeah, it was amusing at first but now people are more... fairies? What's with the fairy thing?

Anyway, good that you found your type. :)

Well I still stand by my former responses. I'm afraid that you seem very ESTP to me. My guess is that you are an ESTP enneagram 7.
