    Recent Ennea-confusion... lil help? Thanks!

    Hi, all!

I'm new to this site & just posted on the "What's my Personality Type" board & was referred here -- maybe some of you can help me?

Essentially, I used to think I was an ENTP & was sure I was a 5w4.
Then, I recently became convinced that I'm actually an ENFP (or maybe even "I"?) and my feeling side must have just been really repressed for most of my life :[

Also, b/c of this new-found feeling side (which seemed very obvious to outsiders, especially in the last year or 2), some Ennea-experts told me they thought I was more likely 4 core, and had lots of 4/5/6.

Later, I took the quiz on this site...twice; and both times, it said my main type is 7w6. I kind of relate to all of these a bit; and maybe I also don't "want" to be a 5 anymore now that I value feeling so much more & notice it in myself so much more as well. Plus, I know I also have lots of 9 (which got me into a few rather sticky situations recently) and I don't know where that fits into the pic either. Any ideas??

Which Ennea-type(s) usually go along w/ ENFP? And is there any more info I can provide/questions I can answer that can help you help me figure out what's my core?? (Or anything else I can read, look up, etc.?)

Thanks in advance very much for any insights/info!

    All the best,
    ~Berry

First of all, fill this by @Spades , write your answers here. One can tell very little about you based on only that previous message of you.

There are no rules for that since MBTI and Enneagram are two different things but I guess many ENFPs are 7s or 2s, some are 4s. Somehow you do not seem like a Four to me, Fours tend to be highly aware of their emotions. They know they are feeling people. So, based on that little information you shared, I would say you are not a Four. You seem more like a 6w7 to me. Consider having 6 and 9 fixations at least.

Forget the tests, they can help you if you have any clue about yourself but many of them are way too shallow. And it's easy to get any results anyway. For example, if you choose to be Eightish, Eight it is.

Of course there is! Read @timeless' descriptions, for example. You can find them in every type's own forum.

Thanks, Zallla! Yeah, I didn't think I was a 4 when I read the description in the Riso-Hudson book, but I did relate to the aspects of feeling very misunderstood and being creative & "individualistic." But when I read the description of 5, I related to it like they were spying on me. But that was a number of years ago now... Thanks so much for the doc to fill out; looks cool, comprehensive! So, I fill it out & post my answers here? And then, someone tells me what it amounts to, is that how it works? And thanks for the tip re timeless' posts, too; looking fwd to checking 'em out.

Take care & see ya round,
    ~B

@Berry - you fill it out, we hopefully give you good advice, give you good links, and point you in the right direction. You're going to be doing all the self reflecting. ^^ Haha. Nobody knows you better than yourself. We will give you our opinions, though. But you're going to have to do lots of searching for yourself. :)

Yes, I did. ^^ The first time, though, nobody responded to mine. I decided after a while I was a Nine. Second time around, though, I figured out my type.

So, does this mean you're not a 9 after all? Mind sharing your type? Tritype??

(Sorry haven't been on for so long; busy week! Trying to finish my questionnaire & get it up here at last ;} )

Nope, I'm not a Nine. I'm a Six. A 6w7. You can see my tritype in my signature. ^^ I figured out because while I really did come across as a Nine and fit Nine well, my motivations weren't that of a Nine. Nine integrates to Six (meaning a healthy Six takes on Nine characteristics), so I suppose looking like a Nine is a good thing. XD
