Yeah, but sometimes I just think it would be more beneficial to know it and/or it can be fun if you're interested in the subject at hand. Then again, still have more years to come :p Hypothetically I'm all open for it but I am 'rly lazy' right now! - uhm I mean VACATION TIME!!
Oh for sure. Give me a topic I give two shits about, and I'm all for it.

But I mean. Like. "What year was *insertbullshitmovienobodywatched* released?" just does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in my head pleasure wise. At all. I just get annoyed watching OTHER people do it.

I fucking HATE IRC trivia. I wanna die every time those bots scroll that shit down my screen.

I just don't fucking care what the African name for "love" is. I just really, really don't.

But I can totally see a 5w6 going for that shit :)

and no, I don't care much for trivial knowledge. I like exploring the unknown, deep, underlying details of the cosmos. I agree, who the fuck cares about "Who was the first xxx to xxxx" type of questions? It's irrelevant to my my quest for understanding.

I did the same and now I'm not sure whether I'm a 5w4 or 4w5. I've got the impression the more I read about this stuff the more cunfused I become....oh well, then again it doesn't really matter that much.

Some differences between Fours and Fives, for anyone still uncertain.

Fours are more moody and emotional whereas Fives are more calm.
Fours want to create or have drama and intensity in their relationships; Fives prefer them to stable and smooth.
Fours want to express their feelings and be understood. Fives feel awkward expressing their feelings so they keep their emotions to themselves.
Fours become intensely involved with people they have relationships with; Fives tend to keep distance from others, even with intimate relationships.

    Hope this helps.

I'm definitely, without a doubt, a 5w4. I use to wonder if maybe I was a 4w5 too, but I'm definitely 5 dominant. In some situations, and with certain traits, I have equal amounts of both 4 and 5 working at the same time, but with other traits, I'm absolutely 5 dominate.

I hate shopping and malls of any kind....in fact, I hate all crowded, noisy public places. I will do anything in my power to avoid them. However, when I need something or I'm interested in purchasing something, I can spend hours shopping online, and researching all of the products in-depth (clothes too...lol).

And I agree with others who have said they hate trivia. I prefer to delve into the deep mysteries instead.

SummoningDark, this quote you're using in your signature is very much like what a Type 5 might say:

"I find my life is a lot easier the lower I keep everyone's expectations."
    ~ Calvin and Hobbes

On the other hand, this one seems more like a Type 4, depending on how you interpret it:
"Some things you don't forgive some things you don't forget
Sometimes the fate you suffer is so much worse than death
We're way off course now and we're drifting out to sea
So cut the anchor on your heart to be set free"
~ from "Kotov Syndrome" by Rise Against

5s are head types and 4s are feeling types by definition. Notice how with 5s because they are not primary feeling types have defense strategies that are designed to prevent overwhelm from feelings. 4s are the opposite...there is no such things as too much emotion for a 4.

Marcello, could you give your insight as to how a 5w4 deals with the 4 wing? It makes for a very strange mix that I have been dealing with all my life. I know that I very often am in a mode to prevent being overwhelmed. Yet, my wing seems to be very strong in certain areas. There are only certain ways in which my feelings are intense. I don't know if this will make sense, but I am very 5 dominate when it comes to dealing with people, but my 4 wing is very strong in my intrapersonal thoughts and experiences, where other humans are not involved.
