    SJ and Homosexuality

I was just thinking about it the other day, and now I'm curious enough to post it:

Most things I've read about SJs in general are that they're very status quo oriented -- they do things that are accepted socially.

So how does this influence SJs and their sexuality? Are SJs just as homosexual as any other type? Or are they less likely to be homosexual?

I've never met a gay SJ in my life....if that means anything.

Which it more or less shouldn't, because the people I HAVE met have made me increasingly aware that JUST ABOUT EVERYONE has skeletons in their closets, no matter which type.

well sexuality is a result of conditioning. mostly. so i would say that if they were REALLY religious and right wing they would prbably be ashamed of themselves. there is no one social control system, so if they were brought up in a place where homosexuality was accetable they wouldnt feel too bad about it. but there is nothing stopping someone from seeking new social control systems if the one their in isnt working.

From what I learned from my surroundings, it seems that gay/lesbian/bi people are mostly these types below.

    SJ: ESFJ
    SP: ESFP, ISTP
    NT: ENTJ, INTJ, INTP
    NF: ENFJ, INFJ, ENFP, INFP

Don't ask me why. I don't know either. It's just my observation, though. I could be wrong.

Well, I guess you could think of it as... there's a specific bone I'm looking for from those skeletons.

I see homosexual people all across the spectrum of personality types. I think there might be some higher representation of a certain personality type that is homosexual, but I really don't think it is that big of a difference. I think sexual orientation is purely biological, and while our biology does influence our personality, nuture plays a much bigger part in personality development than sexual orientation.

I guess I could see an SJ who is very "traditional" to be less likely to "act" gay, or be less open about it.

there are always exceptions to SJs being thought of as conventional and do everything according to what the society thinks of as right or normal. I'm one of them, and also my friend, who's an ISFJ and he's a homosexual. He doesn't care what anyone thinks and doesn't care what the society thinks, he follows what he wants regardless of anything. He's definitely an exception!

well. i think the term society is more of an umbrella term. i think its based more one social codes. let me expain.

sexuality is imprinted, mor eor less, by accident. these imprints are taken mostly from he parents and partly from the people we hang out with. and because we take these imprints by accident, and have little to no control over them, we feel guilty that our sexual desires are contrary to what society decides is correct, so we create a persona (smokescreen) to hide our imprints and try to appear more acceptable to our fellow man. the moral part of the brain can easily be called the guilt circuit, because we feel guilt when our preconcieved imprints contray to our social control system. guilt is unique to humans only, as far as i know. morals (social codes) are what separate us from the animals.
