Now that I'm through my first relationship, I'm doing some market research. Gentlemen, answer truthfully. How do you feel about dating a chick who is as tall as or taller than you?

I'm 5'8 and have only dated one woman taller than me, at 5'9.

I don't take into account height differences before I actively pursue a relationship with a woman. Realistically, the only factor that I take seriously is how well we get along.

I wouldn't care if she was 7'0 tall. Love is the only thing that mattesr.

Height isn't really important to my knowledge.

Not to my knowledge... excessively taller perhaps.
10. How does it complicate a relationship?
It would start being a problem when the woman starts holding the height difference over my head... so to speak, and complaining about how I am short.

3. 3-4 inches taller? No problem either, although if she likes wearing high heels then she might have a problem

5. A whole head taller? I've never actually met any woman that tall, but I don't think her height would be an issue to me. As for my height, it probably would be an issue for her.
6. More than a head above you? Again, never actually met any woman that tall, but I don't think her height would be an issue to me.
7. What's your height? Around 5 foot 9 and a half, or 176cm. (some measurements say it's 5 foot 9 and a quarter)
8. How important is height for you? Not really, I'm quite satisfied with my average height and wouldn't want to be taller. As for partners, whilst I do prefer people who are in the 5 foot to 6 foot zone, height is one of the least important things to me.
9. Does it freak you out to be with a taller woman? No, not really. I don't think a man feels less masculine when he is in a relationship with a taller woman, but that's just my personal opinion.
10. How does it complicate a relationship? It most likely wouldn't, unless she had a problem with dating shorter men. Also, the fact that I'm of average height would probably make her look like a giant, so she would probably not like that.

Obviously, if you single out one factor like height, it's going to sound like it's very important. It isn't, the whole package is. But, of course, everyone has preferences.

Also, ahh, another excuse to look up inch to centimeter converters online. Damn weirdo measurement units.

I prefer girls shorter than me which usually isn't a problem, but overall it isn't very important

Only if she is a great deal taller than me.

I couldn't say; I have never been with anyone taller than myself.

Personally, I prefer girls to be a bit shorter than me because as much as I believe they can take care of themselves, when I'm hugging them, it just feels like I'm protecting them if they're shorter. This creates a bit of a problem though considering I'm only 5'7. I can't say for sure if it'd be awkward or not dating someone at least my height because the only girl I've ever dated was 4 inches shorter but I'd be willing to give it a try with someone my height before I said for sure.

8. How important is height for you? Moderately important. I don't want to have to look up at my partner, it would be bizarre.
9. Does it freak you out to be with a taller woman? Freak me out? No.
10. How does it complicate a relationship? Not attracted to super tall women. A half foot taller than me would be 6'5 which is very tall.

Edit: I want to mention that I do have a preference when it comes to height. The ideal height in a mate would be 5'7 to 5'10.

Most girls I meet are shorter than me, but when I meet a girl taller than me I feel very self conscious.

Not freak me out, but make me feel kind of bad.

Well, I feel that if a girl is taller than me, they would not go for me. That gives me a sense of insecurity around tall women, and I just do not want that.
