Now that I'm through my first relationship, I'm doing some market research. Ladies, answer truthfully. How do you feel about dating a guy who is as tall as or shorter than you?

3. 3-4 inches shorter? really weird
4. 5-6 inches shorter? too weird
5. A whole head shorter? probably not OK
6. More than a head below you? not OK
7. What's your height? 5'3"
8. How important is height for you? not very
9. Does it freak you out to be with a shorter man? never tried it (at my height it's hard to find men who are shorter), but i think i'd be OK with it if the difference weren't too extreme
10. How does it complicate a relationship? photos and public events like weddings are the biggest issue i can think of. otherwise if both parties are secure with themselves, i don't see why it should complicate things. then again i don't have any personal experience with this, so...

I don't find it attractive if a guy is shorter than me or too thin. It makes me feel a bit like a cow. Yeah I'm vain lol. Same height is okay but I prefer him to be about average height for a man. An inch shorter than me, okay maybe. Any shorter and I don't think I would be attracted to a him. I don't recall ever having dated a guy who was shorter than me though I have been attracted to a couple of guys who were close to my own height or very slightly shorter. I am 5'5" (about 165 cm).

Seeing as I am 5 feet tall, the likeliness of finding a guy shorter than myself is...very, very small.
And I could not date someone smaller than myself. That would not be fair to any possible future spawn.

For 3-6, I don't think I could handle it no matter how much chemistry and how much I liked him. Yes, I'm shallow.

Its very important to me. I haven't ever dated a guy shorter than 6'. BF before current SO was 6'4", current SO is 6'3"

Just hypothesizing since I don't have a point of reference, I think it would.

See above. Though I don't really know how it would complicate a relationship other than being taller than him and having to forego heels.

I would NEVER date a woman shorter than me, yeah it's probably an ego thing but it seems girls don't want to be taller than the guy either.

8. How important is height for you? As long as he is at least 3 inches taller so I can wear high heels and still not be taller. Ideally I think 6' is perfect, but I am happy with my husband who is just under 5'10.

10. How does it complicate a relationship? well its not attractive imo.

I agree with Trifty Walrus; I am practically incapable of being with a girl shorter than me; big (well-proportioned- not FAT women are sexy.Think BBW models.)
