I was thinking what INTP's think of this page.

Do you think it fits you?

Is it something you can use in the future?

What questions comes out from reading this? Meant as personal, other nuances not mentioned, etc.

I dont neccesarily want answers to my questions, it is meant as inspiration.

What does Success mean to an INTP?

People with the INTP personality type are global thinkers. They see everything as one giant Entity that is connected, and seek knowledge about that Entity. They constantly seek the Truth, and have ultimate respect for the Truth. It is not easy for the INTP to reach a conclusion about the Truth. Their auxiliary function of Extraverted Intuition allows them to absorb the many complexities in our world, and they are driven to consider each of these complexities before reaching a conclusion. Once they have reached a conclusion, or discovered a Truth, they are *very* particular

Here's a good portrait of INTP's, or what I think is very fitting.

Taken from "The Sixteen Personality Types - Descriptions For Self-discovery" by Linda V. Berens & Dario Nardi.

For Deisgner Theorizers life is a process of becoming an expert. And they almost never feel quite expert enough. They enjoy reflecting on how things work, why they work that way, and what makes them not work and then really solving a problem, not just fixing it for now. They also enjoy generating ideas and seeing new patterns and elegant connections. These new connections activate their talent for design and continual redesign. The clarity they bring to defining problems as well as words helps them go straight to the essence of a problem, a situation, or a concept.

Their thought processes seem random, yet they are logically coherent. It is as if they hold a matrix in their minds with multiple connections, and their conceptualization ...

Ok, I've been lurking and reading up on types and a bit on how they develop. Slowly things were coming together, but just now, JUST NOW, they flew right into a pattern thing and it all makes sense to me. Well, for now it does.

This is written stream of thought with a wee bit of editing.

P - Perception - I'll start with perception, as it was the one that kicked this process off. When I first took the test, I was borderline P/J. While I am messy and do things by the seat of my pants, last minute, etc., I really do like order and plans. When things are cleaned up, planned out, I feel great. However, I'm comfortable with mess and going with the flow. That last phrase, "going with the flow", reminded me of the Art of War-esque book "48 Laws of Power" which I read in High school. It instructed to become like water and change as the times changed, as new masks were needed, etc. It constantly reinforced going with the flow. ...

    INTP: Introverted Thinking with Intuition

INTP types are quiet by undying skeptics. They are mainly interested in new ideas and have little concern for parties or small talk. They can, however, become quite talkative about a topic they've recently studied. Their logic cuts directly to the core issue of any problem.

    Choosing a Major
    • Need to understand everything; may be difficult to focus on one major
    • See ideal job as allowing freedom to use special abilities
    • Found frequently in pure sciences, mathematics, research, engineering, college teaching, computer analysis, or any field involving theory, such as philosophy or psychology

    • Extracurricular activities usually involve lectures, drama, and music
    • May frustrate roommates who need casual

Us intps are so often associated with being nerds, or liking nerdy things, or just being losers in general. This is quite curious, as I have met many intps who are not only not nerds, but enjoy a fair amount of social success. But trust me, I know, we rarely get any social success easily. We are slow to make many friends, and even slower to find lasting relationships we can truly enjoy. In our unexamined state, we are indeed percieved as weird and nerdy. It is because of this that I am posting this thread to share with my fellow intps rules and guidelines I have maintained in order to both enjoy myself as an intp as well as maintain friends, meet women, and get along in society.

    1. Lessen introversion! You are not a self-sustaining system, and you need other people, rather you like it or not. Being naturally introverted, we have to take what we perceive as risks. Call out people who you realize share your interests and discuss them. Even extroverts like to hear our more ...

    Description of INTPs
INTPs are known as the "Engineers" or the "Architects" of the 16 personality types.

They live in the world of theoretical possibilities. They see everything in terms of how it could be improved, or what it could be turned into.

They live primarily inside their own minds, having the ability to analyze difficult problems, identify patterns, and come up with logical explanations.

They are easy going, flexible and adaptable.

INTPs usually prefer not to have to lead or manage people.

INTPs thrive when there are few rules, guidelines and restrictions. They need freedom.

Their internal world is highly structured and logical and does not need structure imposed by the external world.

Being introverted, reserved, objective, and logical, they may appear cold and hard to get to know.

    INTPs ...

People with the INTP personality type love knowledge and logic above all else. Their intuition is naturally refined and accords them an unusual level of creative problem-solving ability. In fact, this type looks forward to complex problems, considering them a challenge. Their analytical skills combine with their penchant to filter every circumstance through logic to yield solutions that others may find counterintuitive. In truth, INTP types have a well-honed aptitude for identifying relevant patterns and applying them to theoretical puzzles to produce unique answers. Below, we'll explain INTPs' relentless pursuit of clarity, their preference for theory over application, and a few potential weaknesses which can hold them back.

    Finding An Explanation
For people with the INTP type, a situation that lacks a clearly defined explanation is infuriating. They take great pleasure in attacking problems that are complex and transforming them into easily understood ...
