    Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: INFP

    Lead (Dominant) Process
Introverted Feeling (Fi): Staying true to who you really are. Paying close attention to your personal identity, values and beliefs. Checking with your conscience. Choosing behavior congruent with what is important to you.

    Support (Auxilliary) Process
Extraverted Intuiting (Ne): Exploring the emerging patterns. Wondering about patterns of interaction across various situations. Checking what hypotheses and meanings fit best. Trusting what emerges as you shift a situation’s dynamics.

I’ve taken this test before, and the results are pretty consistent with other function tests I’ve taken.

Top 3, roughly even: Ni,Fi,Ne (excellent use)
    Followed by: Ti (good use)

This order matches my mbti type, INFP, better than any other single type, but not perfectly. Ni is like my wild card function, and that’s why I identify with parts of the INJ descriptions even though I’m not a J. As you may know the type descriptions are partly based on function theory, eg, INFJ = Ni + Fe. So if you’re high in a function that isn’t assigned to your mbti by function theory, you’ll identify with parts of the type which that function is assigned to.

As is evident from this thread, the order of function dominance for a given person doesn’t always neatly match those of their 4 letter type assigned by function theory (which, along with Keirsey’s 4 temperaments theory, is one of the 2 main interpretations of the mbti). This is why both people you know and fictional characters are sometimes difficult to type. For instance, you might know someone who’s an Introvert, who seems Fi dominant, but is not a P. The INFJ description is missing their high Fi use, but then they also don’t fit as an INFP, the Fi type, because they’re not a P.

    Your Possible Type Code
According to the traditional sorting method of finding the most-used functional pairs (such as Fi-Ne), your type might be:
    Possible result: INTJ

We are also trying a new sorting method to try to indicate best-fit type. This method is experimental and may not match your type.
    Possible result: INTJ

I've never scored extroverted before, that is a little odd.

This is really interesting. I have a much higher Ni than Ne, which I think is true. My really strong Fe is only a little bit surprising, but I don't think I actually show that much Fe based on nervousness, even though that's how I'm truly feeling.
Perhaps I'm an INFJ? It's not too far-fetched, to be honest. INFJ in the whole makes a lot more sense than the J in it's own, though.
Granted, I didn't know how to fully answer some of the questions, but still.

    Your Cognitive Development Profile
The forty-eight questions you rated earlier tap into the eight cognitive processes. Some questions tapped into basic or developed use of a process used by itself, while other questions tapped into use of multiple processes at once. The profile below is based on your responses. The number of squares indicate strength of response. The equivalent numeric is shown in parentheses along with likely level of development.
Cognitive Process Level of Development (Preference, Skill and Frequency of Use)
    extraverted Sensing (Se) *********************** (23.9)

    Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: INFJ

    Lead (Dominant) Process
Introverted Intuiting (Ni): Transforming with a meta-perspective. Withdrawing from the world and focusing your mind to receive an insight or realization. Checking if synergy results. Trying out a realization to transform things.

    Support (Auxilliary) Process
Extraverted Feeling (Fe): Building trust through giving relationships. Empathically responding to others' needs and take on their needs and values as your own. Checking for respect and trust. Giving and receiving support to grow closer to people.

If these cognitive processes don't fit well then consider these types: ENFJ, or INFP

If these results are different from what you know of yourself, you might consider why your developmental pattern does not align with your expectation. You might also consider exploring this result as a possible better fit.

    The Four Temperaments
Corresponding best-fit temperaments based on your profile: Catalyst; secondly Improviser; then Theorist; and lastly, Stabilizer.

    Ti
    Se
    Ne
    Si
    Te
    Fi
    Te
    Fe

    Your Most-Used Processes
Based on your response, these are your top three cognitive processes in use:

Ti : Analyzing; categorizing; evaluating according to principles and whether something fits the framework or model; figuring out the principles on which something works; checking for inconsistencies; clarifying definitions to get more precision.

Se : Experiencing the immediate context; noticing changes and opportunities for action; being drawn to act on the physical world; accumulating experiences; scanning for visible reactions and relevant data; recognizing 'what is'.

Ne : Interpreting situations and relationships; picking up meanings and interconnections; being drawn to change 'what is' for 'what could possibly be'; noticing what is not said and threads of meaning emerging across multiple contexts.

    Your Possible Type Code
According to the traditional sorting method of finding the most-used functional pairs (such as Fi-Ne), your type might be:
    Possible result: ESTP
