Oh, lol, you're funny guy. Didn't catch that.

I was thinking that actions were a direct result of thinking processes. And referring to a random storehouse of information to create something new could be intuitive. The "storehouse" was merely meant to be taken as an analogy, not literal.

I'm trying to grasp an understanding of one individual function at a time - not all of them.

What do you think about all this?

Did you read Psychological Types yet?

    If not, go do that.

Self-discipline. Make yourself do it. Shut off any thought that convinces you not to read all of it.

Do whatever it takes to force yourself to read that before you post even a single further response to this, or any other related thread.

Do this, and your confusion will cease.

Do it not, and your confusion will continue.

There is no acceptable short-cut in this topic.

Read it and learn, or do not, and learn nothing.

You are correct Action is a result of Thought.
Lol "create something new", you my friend have unlocked this thread to the possibility of a deep philosophical debate. I guess your referencing imagination, and whether or not imagination=intuition. This is debated all over the net, people really have no idea to be honest with you. Which isn't surprising because imagination couldn't exist with out both a S function and an N function working together.

Understanding individual functions is a lot harder than people will make it seem, because the functions manifest differently based on how they fall, that's why MBTI/socionics were developed in the first place.

You could have Se, but understanding how your Se effects you is dependent on where your other functions fall. Is it a support function? Is it a dominant function? Is it a shadow function? Is it a suppressing function? Is it a conscious function? And this is where MBTI as a system fails, and this is why Socionics was created.

Socionics explains how the different functions manifest based on different types. This is why the MBTI gurus are wrong so much of the time, because they cling so hard to their system they refuse too accept other possibilities. I do not, however, recommend you ask a self-proclaimed Socionics guru a question, as Socionics gurus are non-existent. Because of Socionics' different models, it gets very complicated very fast. And there is a lot of bs expansion to the theory by dumbasses with PhDs that people hold on pedestals.

Basically, all I'm saying is use Socionics to try to better I.D. yourself, but don't go to far into it right away. You'll end up very very confused.

The most important thing to understand before researching functions, is that we all use every single function (except maybe those with mental illnesses, but that's not quite clear as functions are not understood on scientific level). So since you now know you use every single function, the tricky part is to figure out how those functions line-up within you.

It's important to understand the functions and also how they can present differently depending on their placement. I have seen many Ne doms *think* they know their dominant function when in reality, they are mixing up another function as Ne. Many people do this within all of the functions. So it is important to really understand them and yourself.

Another vote for Ne. I might even say ENTP from the way you describe fitting objects together
