    INTP - The Thinkers

    Wanna know how I knew that? First, the INTJ description was extremely short, boring, and lackluster. You can find those exact same words on the front page of a INTJ Google search. The others require more searching. The lack of effort on the part of the INTJ description told me that the person was probably an INTP, because INTPs tend to be the most jealous of us. Then I get to the part about ENTPs, nearly every ENTP descricption I've seen stated that they love to debate. I've seen very few INTP descriptions that state that they love to debate, and I've never seen one that says that they are as good at it as the ENTPs are supposed to be. Yet this one did, which told me that it was made by an INTP who was jealous of the ENTPs supposed debating skills. . Then, I get to the INTP section, and it is almost as long as the other three combined.

    Overall though, I think the whole MBTI thing is silly nonsense. But it amused me to play Sherlock Holmes, without even trying to. So thanks for the entertainment.

    @Stephen You have no place here. You're not welcome. You're an SJ, you shouldn't just come in uninvited like this. I would never go to another type's section and waltz up in that bitch like I owned the place. It is inappropriate. Very inappropriate. You're an SJ, the last thing in the world you need is an NT telling you about appropriateness. You should know better.

    LOLZ JK!!!

    Seriously though, I agree with what you say. If you look at it from a cognitive functions perspective, the groupings are WAY fucking off.
    Can you please not do that? ever again? Those smileys. Please. I didn't even read a single sentence yet. It's distracting when I'm trying to skim through. It's irritating.

    Check that. You will understand.

However, I could also immediately tell that you are an INTP, not from your writing nor from looking at your profile but by the way you elaborated so positively on the INTP personality. You were...bragging, and I disrespect you for that. I half expect you to respond with a "I did not post this looking for respect..." but don't bother, I'm only saying what I see.
    Fair enough, it's however actually because I wanted to post this. I shared my knowledge or steps towards better answers.

    And more of INTP because I know myself better, that's why. You over complicate simple answers.

    OP/Mark, I am sorry that this may be irrelevant, but is English your first language?
    I mean no offense, I assure you. >_<;

    Very interesting. All I know is that I appreciate all of you NT's , if I didn't have my NT friends I think I would go nuts in this world full of boring almost-simpletons and simpletons..

    I have to say every time I have taken Keirsey I test different. Then every time I take myers-briggs I am consistent INTJ. I am definitely right brain dominant, and 100% on visual spatial testing. I was a very gifted child and yes had trouble with the 3 R's in school and thus became a trouble maker, but ironically I was so funny that my teachers all loved me and put up with my nonsense LOL I have to somewhat disagree with Keirsey, to get inconsistent test results each time. and yes I am an INVENTOR as well! I have talked with many ENTP's that haven't a clue what innovation or inventing even is..... so have questions about this as well.....

You mentioned earlier that type determines cognitive functions. That isn't true. Since Jung's work is the genesis for Meyers' and Briggs' work and Keirsey's work is based off of Meyers' and Briggs', Jung's work precludes all of this. Cognitive functions and order determine type. That's the basis for Meyers-Briggs which is the basis for Keirsey's work. E/I, S/N, T/F, and J/P don't really have anything to do with it except as labels to organize the various ways cognitive functions can be ordered.
    Funny, I was thinking his argument style, inadvertent condescension, appeals to authority, and defensiveness of "his" position make him sound more like a unsteady INTJ with P-enis envy.

    But it's just an observation of behavior. I couldn't possibly read his mind.
