Partying with Fe-dominants is heaven.
Working with them is hell.
When you ask someone what time they got home and they say "I don't remember" do you:
a. Repeat the question
b. Repeat the question
c. Repeat the question
lol that was my ESFJ mum right there. She always bitched at me for writing numbers in a slightly different (but obvious) way.
She also spazzed out if I didn't write addresses on envelopes PERFECTLY in BIG letters, because "the mailman won't be able to see it."
I'm like..."you know, they generally don't hire blind people to deliver mail."
Holidays were hell - she always sent out at least 300 cards (this is not an exaggeration...I've counted), to every person she's met in her life (and she believes it's rude to write any less than a fucking personalized ESSAY in each one), and made me do the same. If I tried to get out of it or at least operate in a more efficient way, she'd rant about how "cold-hearted and distant" I was.
yet she'd literally only get 5 cards back - and only signed with a short greeting and signature.
One of my best friends is an ESFJ male that I lived with for some time.
It helps that he is a scientist in my field though - so we have more NT, or at least T things in common to talk about.
We do get on well for the most part. I don't mind the E and F at all. I think it's the SJ that can cause the problems for me. He can be so traditional - even when the traditions and values are not logically founded. I have issues with that.
Anyway - G2G somewhere - will maybe add more later as I was thinking about this the other day when I emailed him for the first time in ages. (Which, for an INTP contacting an ESFJ first, is a story in itself)
I currently know 3 ESFJ's on campus at university with me, I can't 2/3 of them, I don't like the overly mothering nature, I have a mother, you're not it, leave me alone. Sadly the two I don't get on with live opposite me and the other is my best friends girlfriend who is thus in my company almost all of the time I'm with him, ESTJ's generally seem to only nurture emotional dependance, I don't like it. However I do loathe to just assume that if you're in the same group you're the same person, so I may just have two bad experiences.
ESFJs really grate on my nerves because EVERYTHING needs to be tied to either emotions or rules with them. I don't need ESFJs asking why I'm not sad about something. Get over it. Also, they take everything seriously.
Oddly enough, I like ENFJs more. Probably the NF.
