Do you give off a 'serial killer vibe'?

I don't know if it is because I have watched too much Dexter or what, but I have thought before that I kind of give off a serial killer vibe because I am withdrawn, aloof, and a bit awkward. I didn't think anything of it until a co-worker insisted I was going to become a psycho killer someday.

Lol I am not suggesting I have any intent to become a serial killer, but apparently I do give off a weird vibe to some people.

Anyone else ever dealt with the unpleasant experience of being told you have the potential to end up hacking up bodies sometime in your future?

Been watching too much Dexter? You've been following people in your car and watching them to catch their patterns? Of course they think you're gonna be a serial killer!

I've never been called that though, that's weird haha

haha nooo. It has nothing to do with actually being violent, stalky, or anything. The reason I have thought I give off a weird vibe is because I am hiding my inner-world and I think people can sense that my thoughts are off in another universe. I struggle to hide my fantasy world, which can be quite dark and scary, but that is due to self-depreciating thoughts rather than psychotic, violent thoughts.

I bet there is an introvert out there who can relate in some weird way. lol, or maybe I'm just weird.

I have been called that. When people first meet me they think I hate everything and anything when I'm around them because I don't smile or try to talk to them. But I just didn't warm up to people instantly on the spot back then. I hate small talk so I guess that blows about 90% of my convos with new people I meet. I like being called a serial killer though hahaha coz it's so not me!

Plus when I joke about peoples misfortunes I get pretty full on with the joke and it becomes extremely twisted very fast lol. When people don't get that I'm joking they think there's something wrong with me. Luckily all my friends have gotten used to it and laugh at it now.
And I sorta look like a serial killer too with the shaved head and multiple scars on my head hehe

No one has ever suggested that I might be a serial killer, but a couple of guys have likened me to psychos who shoot up their workplace; in which I reply, "If I do, you'll be the first one on my list." Seriously though, if you think somebody has the capacity to do something like that wouldn't it be in your best interest not to provoke them?

    I don't entertain violent fantasies so I think it's safe to conclude that I'm not a danger to innocent people. But if I am put into a physical altercation where I fear for my life, the results will be fatal. {Threat neutralized}

Haha nah I've never been called a serial killer, but I've been called a stalker before though (which I'm not, just some hormonal 16 year old girl). I can see how I could give off that vibe since I'm not all that warm when I first meet people and I'm not that outgoing with them. I guess our quiet nature (at least for I's) leads other people to think that.

And you've probably been watching too much Dexter

Yes. I think this would explain it. I have come to realize that is what does it for a lot of intense introverts. You might make types who are very s, very nervous.. because they can't gauge where you are coming from. I used to deal with this all the time until I learned how to go through all the proper motions and rituals in socializing. People pick up on little cues all the time when interacting. If they don't spot those patterns then they wonder whats.. "wrong." Screw em. Unless of course you are trying to get a job, and coming off all creepy hinders that. If so, then learn to act normal - at least long enough to get through a job interview.

Maybe its because I'm an NF, but I end up obsessing a lot over things and building up false realities in my mind.

Is obsessive behavior common for NFs?

I've started collecting Justin Bieber pictures from magazines so I can make a big photo montage.

You never know what to expect from the quiet ones... ;)
In all honesty, I have only said that about one person. He rarely spoke and socialized. When he walked and/or talked, he came off arrogant, cold, and aloof. To top it all off, he wore almost all black. Just all those factors put together gave him a really creepy vibe. He thought he was smarter than everyone but ended up dropping from a mutual class.

ok, now I know for sure I don't give off that kind of vibe. I have met people like that. People who do not seem to relate to reality at all, and who do not seem to have a conscience to guide their thoughts or actions. I have also met people who have a silver tongue and can almost be charming, but still come off "arrogant, cold, and aloof" and give off "a really creepy vibe". Those are the scariest.

I used to ride the greyhound 4 hours each way to chicago every few weeks, and one time there was this guy in his mid twenties who I started talking to. He was into a lot of hip-hop so we hit it off, but as the conversation went on I had a sick feeling in my gut. I was really nervous. And then as we got closer to chicago, his questions got more and more personal until he was trying to get me to tell him exactly where I lived. I am kind of blind to social cues, but my instincts were telling me I was in a hell of a lot of danger within minutes of the start of the conversation. It was different than the social anxiety I regularly feel--- it was a basic instinct to run from danger.
