    What Would NFs Do?

    Taken from this thread:

    Here's the scenario:
You suddenly have 100 million dollars in the bank of your choice. If you spend funds, your account will be topped back up within a week. There is no threat of losing this money, no power on Earth could take it from you. The stability of this money is not dependent on governments, banks... etc. If the bank were to blow up next week the funds would find their way back to you through an alternate route. Now, how does your day to day life change? What sort of things will you do now that you have unlimited means?

Please think beyond NF stereotypes and give your most truthful response. Anything goes and no dream is too small or too strange. If you would honestly love to bathe in a tub of whipped cream every morning, perfect. Own a pet mountain lion? Fine. Destroy the (hypothetical) planet? Fair enough.

I'm interested in seeing how the answers differ between temperaments.

Probably build and stay on my own island.

Honestly? Probably a white collar crime spree. Nothing where people got hurt, but maybe stock manipulation or things to that effect. Also, the standard mansion, eighteen cars, beautiful women as maids and chefs, etc etc. I'd also give a fair amount of money to charities, because I would like to know that people are being taken care of.

Oh, and I would fund soooo much money into making pokemon real. I don't care what it takes.

I would visit the USA and almost every European capital, buy a new laptop, a Lamborghini, lots of cheap clothes, the necessary equipment to study the human DNA, a telescope, a loft in the outskirts Paris and maybe a little house near Florence (it must have a room filled with pillows), go to Japan every time there's a concert of my favourite singer and attend karate, boxing, swimming and self-defense lessons.

    TRAVEL! Everywhere!!

First thing I would do is buy a house for my mother along the Great Ocean Road. I'd give my brother enough money to get himself to Canada, and enough to buy himself a loft apartment. I'd also give my other brother a sizeable chunk of money to do with it what he likes. Then I'd probably look at buying a house for myself or just as an investment property. I'd use the rest of the money to travel the world (as many times as I pleased), and then whatever was left over would go to an animal shelter. :)

ETA: I can't believe I forgot this, but I would totally open my own bookshop. :) A bit of a dream of mine, and this would be the perfect opportunity to go into business for myself and make my own money. :)

wow! Haven't done this hypothetical question since forever! :)

I would put nearly all of it in a special needs trust fund for my son. It would be money that makes money type of situation. I would of course have insanely awesome care for him and bring him value to his life and so on. I would then purchase my home and car and draw a yearly salary from it that would be free of taxes because of the set up.

I would pay for someone to help me to dress cuter. According to my best friend I'm a fashion disaster. I suppose I have the plain Jane nerd thing for the most part I might even opt for that surgery so I don't have to wear glasses anymore (I wear contacts mostly anyways so I don't know if I'd waste the money.) I would for sure go horse back riding again, maybe even get my own horse! :D

I would invest in my skills and profession and open a specialty place where I can implement all of my musculoskeletal theories into practice for the neuromusculor deficits seen in autism (sensory issues, gross and fine motor skills with atypical gait - the jerking excited jog, hand flapping etc.) Of course I would pay for further education to add to my education and experience as well as the consultation of other professionals.

I think I might buy a new car, maybe one of those eco cars but I really hate the cube. I don't know what that is?! It looks like a slue of clowns are about to bust out of there any minute! I want it to be a blue car though. I don't know too much about cars. I like the ones that are small with lower roofs for short people :) Maybe even one where the pedals go to your feet so my seat doesn't have to be pulled forward so much. That would be awesome!

I really want to back pack through another country too one day so if I'm single I would probably take one of my female friends and hire someone to come with so we don't get robbed or killed or something awful like the Lifetime channel stories

And then I might consider to get some things that women do when they start to get old because physical attractiveness is so important to men, not that I'm dying to be on the bandwagon. I wouldn't go ballistic, maybe some preventative stuff so I age more gracefully.

    Okay .. that's what I honestly think I would probably do :)

The first thing I would do is go out and buy a banana hanger, a fruit bowl, TV stand and get my car checked up. Also, having the finances to finish my education would be pretty amazing. I'd also like to buy myself into space, my own theme park and a private concert from Muse.

My daily life would change in the fact that I would have more variety in my food choices (I'm currently on a really strict food budget). There would also be a lot more traveling. I'd visit my high school best friend and buy a home in the state they're currently living in . I'd hire a foreign language teacher to help me reach my goal of becoming fluent in Italian, Japanese and Spanish. Then, I'd find my dream "fixer-upper" of a home in Italy, and spend the rest of the money fixing it up and flying friends/family to visit me.

Ohhh!!! And a pet Penguin! I really, really want a pet Penguin (as well as a Siamese Cat). I suppose I could house the Penguin in his own habitat within the theme park I would, hypothetically, build/buy.

Ooooh fun! Of course, I'm going to be truthful and also a bit tongue-in-cheek.

First order of business: Pay off my family's debts and let my parents actually own their house properly.

Now that that's done, I'm free to do as I please. (I know the above might be stereotypical NFery, but debt sucks, and I hate seeing my family struggle under the weight of it.)

I think I'll quit my job. And I think I'll purchase a house out in Colorado. Nothing too fancy, but something up in the mountains with a view and plenty of wilderness to wander in.

But I won't spend much time there, not for a while, because I'm now practically a nomad. Travelling around the world and seeing everything possible exploring as much of it as possible.

Once I'm back, I think I'd like a seriously fantastic computer. Something with enough power to create hologram projections should I so desire and a screen so touch sensitive that blowing across it could make a mark.

Maybe I'll attempt to get people on board with making artificial intelligence. My mother always told me I should learn to make more friends...

Once that's done, I want to get people on board with revolutionizing technology and general processing as we know it. I want everything clean and simple. True cyclical processes. Nothing wasted, efficient to the point of perfection.

Then I want to take my new technological force of androids and super machinery...and I want to whip all these fatass people into shape. Everyone gets a personal trainer, and working with them for a year is compulsory.

You'll see, once I'm dictator, the world will be a better place.
