introverted mbti types and their extroverted sides

Carl Jung and the authors of the Myer-Briggs provide a different perspective and suggest that everyone has both an extraverted side and an introverted side, with one being more dominant than the other. In any case, people fluctuate in their behavior all the time, and even extreme introverts and extraverts do not always act according to their type.

I can attest to that. I don't spend much time around others but, especially recently, I have found my Ne comes out when I'm with my classmates. I still sit back and do the introverted thing, but I do occasionally act out (so to speak).

Yes but introverted and extraverted aren't necessarily referring to behavior. The outgoing or anti-social behavior is symptomatic of the direction you are channelling psychic energy. Introverts might appear to be withdrawn because their primary way of thinking is self-centered, but they still need to interact with the world at some point. You can't spend your whole life inside your own head.

Also when we claim extraverts are sociable we have to be careful that we're not just talking about Se and Fe types. Ne and Te types may not be all that outgoing or people-oriented though they are still extraverts.
