One thing that most people seem to assume that, I's have to be shy and E's have to be outgoing. While there are trends to this, it is simply not correct.
Let's take a closer look:
E's, they can be pretty damn shy and awkward (omg shocker).
I's, they can ACTUALLY be social/outgoing and not be the weirdo in the corner!
E's get energy from being around people, and interacting with them. Even if they aren't talking much they still gather energy (my sister is a shy E) from these interactions. E's lose their energy by being alone (when I'm alone all I want to do is sleep) but still enjoy alone time. Just don't let them be cooped up all day.
I's get energy from being by themselves, so they can gather energy and use it how they like. Social interactions just tire them out, they can be amazingly social people. Just don't expect them to want to do something every damn second.
I'm just tired of people using introverted as an excuse for shyness, and Extroverted as an excuse to be a douche. There are trends with shyness/outgoingness, but they do not define I and E.
