Apologies if this is in the wrong place, or a thread like this exists, I looked for one, but only found ones in the specific type forums.



I was curious what type your best friend(s) is/are, and what type you are.

Why are you drawn to them?


For me:


One of my best friends is ENFJ (male), one is INTJ(female)and the other is ESFP(male), in the order of how long I've known them.(7 yrs, 5 yrs and 3 yrs respectively.)

ENFJ- 18 years (Her ability to maneuver around a crowd).
ESTP- 3 years (His charisma.)
INTP- 7 years (His ability to see a perspective I've overlooked.)

My best friend is an INFJ. We've been friends for 7 years.

INTP (my fiance) I'm so drawn to that Ne, especially combined with Ti.

While growing up my best friend was IxFP. I'm not sure on the S or N.

Why are you drawn to them?

I'm an ISTJ E6. The people I currently communicate with most are:

male E2 (about 13 years) - He was my brother in law when I was married. Now he's my friend. He's very sensitive, expressive and loyal. He's also a talented artist.
female ESFJ E4 (maybe five years... whoa) - Intelligent, funny, perceptive, and very, very wise. A great listener with a valuable range of experiences to draw that wisdom from, too.
female INFJ E2 (about a year) - I've known her for about a year, we recently started dating. She's intelligent, compassionate, and very giving. I admire her a great deal. Also shares a lot of the same interests in film and other arts.
female ESTP E7 (about six months) - Intelligent, often hilarious, and very direct. One of the few people I've met in my life who I can talk to anytime without feeling taxed or stressed out. Shares some interests, like film.
female ENTP E6 (about six months) - Intelligent, funny, perceptive and brutally honest. We don't always agree, but we never argue.

I have 3 very close friends:

1)ENFJ: We have so much in common and can talk for hours about things that other types just wouldn't understand. However, her J keeps me on track, on time, and sticking to plans
2) ESFP: We have tons of extraverted fun together from partying to just going for adventurous drives
3) INFP: We can sit in silence without any awkwardness at all or talk for hours, she's the perfect roomate!

My lifelong friend that I trust the most is an ENFP.. my new friend of about 1 year or so that I have been spending a lot of time with and have had to get "used" to is an ESTJ.. my friend whom I've come to respect, adore, trust and love over the last ten years is an INTJ or an INTP can't remember exactly (I think she is an INTJ).
