    How to change your stats?

    Okay so if someone wanted to increase their stats? How would they do it? For example, if someone was an 30% E, then how would they raise it up? By hanging out with more people, increasing their social skills, etc. Also, if someone wanted to lower their F stats, and wanted to increase their T, how would they go about it? By becoming more of a hardass? If someone wanted to raise their J stats, how would they do that? By becoming more planned and scheduled? Finally, the biggest question of all......How on earth would a person increase their level of intuitiveness?

    Please someone explain this to me?

    I think you're focusing too much on the percentages to begin with and not enough on the functions, which are really the most important part of the whole MBTI system. Percentages will vary anyway, depending on which test you take (different online tests have different questions and/or formats) as well as your mood at the time, which is why, as I mentioned in your "guess the percentage" thread, I don't take too much stock into percentages to begin with.

    The other thing to remember is that we all make use of every function; our main two functions are simply preferences that we tend to rely on more than others. Yes, you can work on developing other functions, but there's nothing wrong with preferring one function over another, so you shouldn't try to be someone you aren't just so you can appear more "balanced."

    Yeah, I know. I thought that someone was going to say something like this. You see, I started off my knowledge in this system with the Kiersey method. That messed me up.

    What are we, role playing characters that as we level up we can add attribute points in the different personality functions?

    Your core personality is your core personality. You can change your behavior to present yourself as something different from what you are... but it's not real, you are doing it just to make yourself LOOK different, not actually make yourself different.

    Change of personality does happen, but it usually is triggered by life lessons we experience and that causes us to mature or accept things differently. I am at my core an extrovert... I can't just say, "ok, I'm going to stay inside all the time and not talk to people" and *poof* I'm an introvert. The second I would get around someone my extroverted side would flourish... and I wouldn't be happy hiding in my closet... but I could do it, but doing it doesn't change me... does that make sense?
