How did you initially find about the myers-briggs system...

and what was your initial reacton to it? I found out about it through a college course that I was taking. When I found about about it, my Ne function went nuts. I became obsessed with the system; I got a book on it by David Kiersey called "Please Understand Me II". I read that book all night long. I couldn't stop reading the book. I was obsessed with it. I thought that it was absolutely brilliant...and I didn't sleep at all that night because I was so busy studying it. I am still studying it to this very day because it such an ingenious, and somewhat complex system....I AM OBSESSED.

Every so often people would post the tests on other forums, including this political forum where most of us got types like INTP and INTJ (it's a leftist site).

About 10 years ago, when we were required to take it at work. It was the old fashioned pen and paper test.

    INTJ - The Scientists

I googled "personality test" and found the human-metrics test. I did it and read the description for INTJ and thought that it was very accurate. I forgot about it until one of my friends told me that he was an INFP. After that developed and interest and started reading about MBTI. That's when I revised my type.

My friend showed me one on paper that they were using for his law class ( :/ ) He just asked me to match up what sounds like me. I got INTJ though I didn't really understand what it meant by judger and thinker and all that because it didn't explain. I read the description and thought it kind of sounded like me, but I wanted to dig deeper into it because it sounded interesting.
Next thing I know, I'm the one bothering the crap out of my friend about it.
