    INFJ and ESTP?

Ok, so this is my second post here (after my intro, of course :P) so I'm not 100% sure if this belongs on this part of the forum or not.

It's concerning my brother and I. After taking the test myself, I made my brother take it, out of curiousity. I was surprised to see his results were ESTP. I've known for the longest time that he was quite the opposite of me, but in every way possible? For those who want to know, we're 22 months appart, raised the same way, he's younger and we're both from the same parents. My mom's an INTJ and my dad's an ISTJ.

We get along quite well, most of the time but he tends to irritate me a lot with his loudness and constant movement.

I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same position as me, with the whole complete opposite sibling thing going on? I'm just curious if this is comon or not :D

My sis is ESFP according to the test. We get along great. No complaints!

growing up I was INTP and had a sister that was 8 yrs older than me that was and still is an ESFJ...talk about a nightmare. Everytime she messed up, growing up what worked on her for punishment became what I got for even the slightest things. What BS.

ESTP are not the complete opposite of INFJ.

Where ESTP is: Se Ti Fe Ni
INFJ is: Ni Fe Ti Se

In effect, they have the same functions only reversed.
ENFP and ISTJ would be the most radically different for each of those types.

Although ESTP and INFJ may face qualms with each others' unique traits, they tend to connect very well on a deeper level. For example, an ESTP may become irritated with a INFJ because of their tendency to exist mainly in thought, outside of the reality ESTP are so used to experiencing - quite in contrast to what you said about his loudness and continuous movement.

ESTP relationships with INFJ (on a sibling, partner or friendship level) can be harmonious but both parties may require "time off" from one another to enjoy being themselves the most.

If you correctly typed it should be the best combination (dual), according to socionic.
Typically you can offer what other look for (Ni) and he offer what youre searching (Se). Cautious use of Fe is perfect for filling the sporadic need of Fe on ESTP, same with his Ti and your Ti.
