... i fit the estj decsription to a t around people i know and am comfortable with, but i have social anxiety disorder, is that possible... can u be extroverted but be uncomfortable around people because of a mental disorder?
Goods News! Social anxiety is actually quiet treatable and not the most complex either. Being shy and having social anxiety disorder is not necessarily the same thing but those are things that extroverts do suffer. The bottom line is that both of those two issues are very very easy to treat for professionals, and you can begin to treat you're self there are many exercises that you can begin to do to get over this. Today go out and ask 10 people for the time, tomorrow go out and ask 10 people for directions, the day after continue this regime but now try and throw in something about say the weather with an individual you talk to who is a stranger.
I'm an ESTP with Social Anxiety Disorder. It's weird, but it happens. That's when I just tell myself "I AM AN ESTP OKAY WHAT AM I SO SCARED OF?!" And it helps.
