    Everybody says I'm another type

Fi-doms tell me I'm too cold to be a Fi-dom. Thinkers think I'm a depressed emo (that's kind of true, lol) and say I'm not like them because I don't care about science. Sensors say I'm too speculative. Intuitives say I'm not like them because I don't like theory and useless abstraction. This is irritating me a little bit. I studied the functions but I can somehow relate to all of them.

I'm too anxious to be a P but also too messy and lazy to be a J.

    Just wanted to say this.

But what do you think? Have you taken any tests, and how do they come out? Good luck!

Tests don't work for me. I get ALL the introvert types... plus ENTP, lol. I certainly relate to Te and Fi. They feel like they're equally strong. I also relate to Ne and Si... but Se and Ni would make sense too... I relate to inferior Fe descriptions... but that may just be social anxiety. It's such a mess. I know the functions. I've studied them a lot. I'm even good at typing other people and fictional characters. I'm just a mess. It's impossible to type me. I feel like there should be a 17th type just for me, since I'm unique (in a negative way, don't get me wrong :P).

"Too anxious to be a P." Anxiety is actually a somewhat common trait among extroverted percieving types(Any xxxP type even IxxP). More so than Js most would agree.

Of course remember all functions work dichotomously with their counter part. Te-Fi Fe-Ti etc etc.

If you score differently on multiple testings the problem would be your answers are changing. Take the same personality test 3 times on the same site. If your result is different you aren't being consistent enough to who you truly are or you don't know who you truly are.

One of the biggest things to remember when testing is to not allow any outside source to influence your answers. You are to test as who you are in a relaxed and natural state.

If I had to guess based on your typing style and wordings I would say IxxP. If I had to go further I would say IxFP. I don't have enough information to give a final decision though. Non strict guess would be INFP though.

If you have any questions on tying or the 8 functions I would be happy to help clear up any confusions.

My answers ain't consistent, but it's because everyday I'm a different person. I don't know if it makes any sense.

Yes. That would suggest you're a dynamic type in Socionics.

In socionics they typed me even with videos. Most of the typings were Ni-dom, but of course Socionics differs from MBTI.
The questionnaire, on the other hand got me typed as Si-dom (SLI). Te-creative seemed clear, but someone even said I could be Fe-creative. Ti-Ne is possible too.

Personally, I'd go with ILI, and yes... that's a dynamic type! The socionics Ni description makes way more sense than the MBTI one. It's not only related with visualising the development of future events, but also recalling the past. And I think it makes more sense than saying that recalling the past is Si. Si should be about internal sensations. MBTI Si is basically about data storing and traditions... and I don't think it makes sense.

Last thing... socionists ALL typed me as an enneagram 5w6 sp. I got typed like that here on PersonalityCafe too... the thing is that it would be really weird for a Fi-dom to be an enneagram 5...

Socionics isn't any more different from MBTI than MBTI is from itself. Linda Berens and David Keirsey are both MBTI experts who would agree on very little. Neither one of them would say that Si is a traditional function or a memory function like you often hear on forums.

When there are drastically differing opinions among the experts, who gets to even decide what MBTI is and what it isn't?

Who decided this? Why did they get to decide this?

Yeah, that's basically the reason why I got into Socionics and abandoned MBTI for a while. But I'd still like to know my type... don't know why.

I just tried a socionics test and got Ni-Fe:

    Yesenin (Intuitive-ethical, IEI) Basic dichotomy Rationality 5 - 12 Irrationality Extraversion 1 - 16 Introversion Sensor 4 - Intuition 13 Logic 7 - Ethics 10

The test confirms the fact that I'm clearly an irrational intuitive. Logic and ethics are pretty close...

    ????????????? ???? ?????? | ???? ???????

It's a nice test. I used google translate.

Decide the one that has the best potential for self help, and the closest you relate to.

Everyone else is going to see a different perspective of you and is going to prioritize different observations in their "evaluation" of your type. Only you have perfect information of your perceptions and true preferences. Some can help better than others, but unless they are a professional, go with your observations above all else.
