I wore glasses for nearsightedness from 13 on until an alien took me into her spaceship and lasered them to perfection.

I have random things wrong with my eyes, that are slowly getting better, eventually I won't need glasses, not sure which I have, maybe long sighted?

  3. #13

i have an astigmatism, so none of these options really apply to me.. things are blurry at all times, but it's not that bad, I can manage without glasses for the most part, unless I need to really look at what I am doing.

    Glasses are so sexy

but no, I don't wear them. My eyes are good.

  5. #15

Yes (nearsighted)... I wear contacts most days, but have glasses as well.

  6. #16

I am neither long sighted nor shortsighted, but old. I wear reading glasses for my presbyopia :)

That sounds interesting, but quite annoying, never heard of that before.

I have very poor vision (near-sighted) and a pretty bad astigmatism. I wear contacts like 99% of the time though. I have a backup pair of glasses I mainly wear around the house. I envy those who look cute in glasses - I just never have.

    Hehe, same!
I have ocular albinism, which includes lots of fun stuff like decreased pigmentation in the iris and retina (yay light sensitivity), nystagmus (my eyes sort of "wiggle"...you can't really tell too much unless you stare at them, but it is constant and can't be helped), decreased visual acuity, and no stereoscopic vision (3D movies don't look like anything to me ). I've worn glasses (and occasionally contacts) since I was two or three. I think I'm fairly lucky though; typically ocular albinism is pretty severe on the acuity aspect- 20/100 or worse, even with correction. While I'm told I'll never have better, I have been able to get as good as 20/40 in one eye, which makes me eligible to drive without daytime restriction - woo!

I don't really need glasses but I have a pair as my vision isn't 20/20 but more on the order of 20/60 in each eye. I switch off between wearing contacts and glasses though.
