It just seems like when I don't emphasize my S'ness, I myself am boring, not that INTP's are boring necessarily. One of my best friends I suspect is an INTP and he really blows my mind sometimes with all the crazy stuff he's studied and can talk about.

but that's only for women, and even then only periodically.

Granted, bad enough as it were already, but still.

ok let me put it this way: if you're driving on a highway, and you're going one way and all the other cars are going in another direction. Are you going the wrong way or you're the only one going the right way and everyone else is going the wrong way? :P

The latter. I'm an ISTP after all. More than that I'm Erbse - that actually beats the ISTP argument even.

Isnt personality malleable? Thats what ive learned so far as a psych major...even in this "theories of personality" class im takin lol.

When i was a little kid, i was still ENTP, but with more S, but no less N...It was even more of an uncontrolled N...i had a thing for scaring the shit out of people with halloween masks untili was about.....i still do, on the inside haha.

But as a kid, i was alwwayys sticking up for the underdog and leading, but in an ENTP type way i think. I would always be on the "girls team" in recess, or help the underprivileged kids out with school work or something. And i was friends with, well, everybody. From the retarded as kids, to the cool kids. I was considered a "cool" kid in school because i played sports, but i didnt have that "cool" kid douche vibe like the other cool kids haha.

As i entered puberty, i got hit with anxiety and depression issues, and become much more introverted. I thought i was INTP for a long while, up until recent years. But then i learned stuff about psychology, and why i am the way i am.

STUDY FUNCTIONS. No types do NOT change. Anyone who thinks they do has not put the most basic level of thought into what type IS.

You grow. You develop your first four functions over your lifetime. Yes. That's why the seemingly cold and technical INTJ suddenly gains an emotional side midway through their 20s. But that does NOT mean your order of functions is going to simply REVERSE depending on what day it is.
Seamaid, Galldune, fourtines and 2 others thanked this post.
