Whenever I take an MBTI personality test I always end up an ISTP however, I notice that my I/E is usually a 55/45 or 60/40 split.
Does anyone else have quite a high extroversion percentage (for an ISTP) when taking these tests?

My E/I and my S/N are quite close together. Its confusing at times...
always at 100% introversion for me but the tests are not really an accurate way of saying how much T or F you use, or how much I vs E you use etc. They are more or less inaccurate and only way to really make sure of your type, is to do more digging into the functions and which you use, which you do not use, whats you favorite, do you relate or not etc. to determine your mbti type code.
I do find the test's a bit wooden. I suppose they are only theoretical. I used to question being an ISTP, but having read definitions of introverts vs extroverts I am definetely an ISTP.
Most people who know me in real life, don't know that I'm an introvert.

Rather than being seen as two sides of a coin, introversion/extraversion is measured in terms of a scale or spectrum, where most people (about 68% of the population) fall in the middle ranges, showing varying degrees of extraverted or introverted traits. This middle ground has been called "ambiversion." Research subjects characterized as extraverts and introverts represent the extremes on the scale, with about 16% representation for each.

68% is a high number .
I really enjoy being around people and talking to them. I can be very social, and I love a party. I just HAVE to get away by myself for a while everyday or I get edgy, irritable, and drained. I usually just slip away without drawing attention to myself. And if I have any thinking to do, I will always do it alone.

Awesome, that's close to how I act. I love parties too and talking to different people. However, like you I have to get away sometimes to give me time to think by myself. Have you ever been trying to think something through your head and someone keeps asking you questions, while your trying to think ALONE? Annoying.
@MuChApArAdOx, thankyou for that information, very interesting.
