Dear lost people in the hospital who walk passed my office,
If you can clearly see that I am the only one here...with the lights on...watching you and smile at you as you wave. Then WHY on Earth would you test the other doors that are clearly empty with the lights off before swinging my door wide open?
Please explain your idiotic nature to me so I can try to understand.

Yes, I know its Alzheimer's and I know you can't help it, but calling the operator and telling her you are "locked in this place" and "can't get home" brought three police officers here, in their three separate squad cars, and that's going to change. our. lives. now. Thank goodness two of the three officers advocated for me against the original junior officer who showed up. He was a tough nut to crack. He threatened to ARREST me!! Stressing out my son! Just because I told him I was a still hoping to get to Mass tonight! I was just asking! Geez!
So glad the other nice officer was looking at me sympathetically. And supervisor-officer, when he came, was very nice too, and on my side right off.
Finally he softened up a bit but we have been reported to and will have to be evaluated by Adult Protective Services. What fun. [Or should I say: What a wonderful opportunity to practice humility!] And xSTx son and I can never leave you while we go to Sunday night Mass again. Yes I could take you with us but xSTx needs grandma-free time. And you aren't Catholic anyway.
Busy ESTJ big brother is going to have to donate some time now, on Sunday nights at least - either that or he can pay someone else to.
Officer Tough Nut says if they ever come by again and find her alone and unsupervised again I will be arrested. Okay already. You don't have to hit me over the head with a two-by-four. I get the point.
Ah, Mom. I knew you would eventually need 100% supervision but just didn't think we were there yet. Now, suddenly, we are.
