So, I tried to make a video of me talking about something ISTP related, and it was pretty much epic failure all around. Who all has tried to make a video before? Did you plan out what you were going to say first, or did you just talk? Did you get bored halfway through? I find it funny that I can speak in front of 100+ students without notes, but can't talk on a video to myself about something I've read 34590435 books about and blab about endlessly with people who will listen.

Also I'm a pretty pathetic conversationalist w/out someone else to fill in the silence. Also it was hard to look directly at the camera. Also I got totally distracted by watching my own face while I talk, and kept forgetting what I was saying. I don't usually get to see my own face when I talk, and I kept thinking "oh wow....is that how I really look?"

Don't have a monitor that displays your own face. Find a room that is dead silent, or go outside and do it. Talk to yourself. Practice makes perfect. I've had another ISTP ask me questions, I think it boils down to stage fright or something. Also stop thinking you need to talk constantly. Just like regular conversation there can be long pauses (even longer for ISTP's).

I made 3 videos, I always have to have an inspired topic. If I don't have an inspired topic I get monotone and dull. That's why the content of my videos isn't very consistent. If I had an ISTJ write me up a schedule of topics I might have a proficient internet psych show going.

I could give you some ideas:
-what is one of your favorite images from the past; a memory, a painting, a video, etc?
-what do you think about people
-what do you think about long term planning
-What is something you absolutely wish you could do

You could give a brief introduction and describe some hobbies(prepare a script first). Then spend 5mins talking about how to correctly heel toe in a car.

I've made youtube videos, mostly when I'm bored or want to rant about something. It usually ends up with me talking about everything but what I intended to talk about... and saying "uhm" a lot
