    Interest in non-ISTP activities?

Any other istps suffer from the interest in non-istp activities but lack any ability?

Been trying to write some poetry as a way of expressing some of my many abstract thoughts but of course i lack any ability to play the word game. Can usually get a couple lines out then its blank and start over and same thing again and again.

So many thoughts go thru my mind whether it be on sociological, philosophical, etc. and yet i dont have the key to unlock the box. Always lacked in english in school, mainly due to complete lack of interest of technicalities (grammar rules etc). Can come up with metaphors for things yet have a hard time expressing them in words which is typical of the istp but yet i suffer the frustration of interest.

Forget everything you know about poetry. Forget metaphors. Write your poems your way.

Yup, definitely. Rules are [usually] stupid.

I don't really know what counts as a non-ISTP activity... I like getting skilled at everything, given the chance. I don't like poetry though.

I concur with Stand Alone. Besides it would seem that the Fi function would have to be developed to write poetry and it's our least developed function based on John Beebe's theory.

I'm sorry to hear this. I always like it when people push their comfort zone. I would probably say get in touch with how you are feeling at every moment. When a thought hits you.....how does it make you feel? No words to explain it? Then make it up. Try and get lost in your feelings....follow them. This makes me feel this way....and always ask why it does. This all has to do with getting in touch with your inner Fi. If you cannot Get in touch with Fi....then get in touch with Fe/Ni. Good luck ;)

and drop some F bombs involving women, some F bombs involving money, and some F bombs involving the police. When you are done, read into a microphone with some 70's R&B music playing in the background, but take out the vocals and just run the instrumental in 4.99 second loops. Proceed to ship it to Recording Studio, or better yet go the Immortal Technique route and retire in 5-7 yrs.

There are no such things as non-anytype activities. We should be careful not to allow the steretypes to dictate who we are and even more careful not to fall into the notion that we are becoming that type. ISTP in MBTI merely means that I prefer those four dichotomies, as opposed to the other four. Besides if you are interested in an activity, you should have no problem wanting to learn the techniques

same way I've never been good at mathematical analysis, I don't want to memorize all the stupid little criteria for integration etc since I can do it with a computer; unfortunately, the exam is on paper, thus the problem; why can't these people just accept there are easier ways? honestly
