what makes you feel like you want to go and do stuff?
how do you spend time using Ti. what "activates" it? and how the process of using Ti is like?

Being left the hell alone.
Well technically thats just the start and the end of it. If I don't get that then I will not get energised at all. As for the actual trigger, its just Se. You see or hear something and just go "Yes. I need to do that now." and then you do it. Once thats done I need to be alone again. As for what I do, its just about anything that crosses my path. I don't get what you mean about the process though? You just do stuff.
Its not easy to describe but....
For me, It's kinda like a process of elimination and calculation of variables. It takes into account all of the pros and cons, variables and what has previously worked. Also checking the information against known facts and fitting it all into a logical order, to form a calculated decision.
This is often done in seconds and it's not a conscious thought process. it just happens. this is a very basic description.
Yeah, explaining a thought process is difficult. For me very little of my thinking is conscious, and the few bits that are exist more as a mental conversation with myself than any real process. I don't know how many of us ISTPs think in this way, but if we all do it then it might explain why we're so good under pressure.
As with any other human being, an ISTP will want to do something if they enjoy it. A better question might be:
"What stuff do ISTPs enjoy doing?"
If a person enjoys something, they will find it easy to get the energy, or motivation, to participate. Things an ISTP enjoys would be forms of exercise (soccer, kayaking, basketball), activities which induce the hormone adrenaline (surfing, cliff-jumping, vehicle racing), or other activities which stimulate Dom and/or Aux (Ti, Se; such as videogames)
Ti, being an ISTP's Dom, is constantly in use. Hence it doesn't really get 'activated'.
Ti is similar to what I visualize as a huge metal framework, like the metal structure of a building, and all my life experiences which I have approved are welded into this structure, all perfectly complimenting each other, all making sense in relation to each other.
New information is filtered and checked against the System. If it fits, it gets built into the structure. If it does not fit, it gets rejected until it can be presented in an acceptable form.
what?
Ti is used to analyze and educate.
Se is used to energize and get out of the 'head'.
an istp gets energized when they let their Se go wild and take in new experiences. The more they use the Ti the LESS energy they usually have.
When I use Ti, I'm just talking to myself in my head. Another ISTP in my head that acts as the devil's advocates for when I need to make decisions.
"Should I do this? What if this happens? If I do this, this and this happens, let's weigh the pros and cons." After coming to a conclusion, I play out the scenario in my head several times with small tweaks to account for all the possible events that may unfold as a result of said action.
I am almost always in "Ti-mode", which is the cause of my extremely logical choices.
The need to fulfill my Se kicks in often, telling me to go do something exciting. To not be bored is an extremely important part of my life. I like to figure out things, and once I've figured something out, I move on to the next thing. Which is why I have so many different skills and hobbies, something ISTPs are so famous for having.
