I find that my husband seems to shut off when I have an emotion that doesnt seem logical to him. Is this irritating for most ISTPs?

If you can explain the reason for you feeling that emotion then he can better assist you.

As in, "I'm crying over spilling coffee on my shirt because my dad gave it to me for my birthday and now it's ruined" Instead of just crying over spilling something on your shirt. Even if we wouldn't be upset over the same thing you are we can still understand the feelings behind your emotion if you put it in context.

Bad example but you get the gist I hope.
