Just joined and this is my first post, although I've been visiting the forums for a while and have just been lurking in general. I read the Jung type for the first time a few years ago, and it seems to fit me WAY too perfectly.
Anyways, enjoy some facts and photos!
The first picture is me in the desert with the 1947 Areonca Champ I like to rent most weekends. I had to fly it over some high mountains and into the desert specifically because I make it a habit to land at "Unimproved" airports (Grass, Gravel, Desert, etc). Pic #2 is me geared up for skydiving. #3 is me with my pet chicken, #4 is my (not so much anymore) super secret goal sheet for the year, #4 is from when I climbed Mt. Fuji.
I also ride a Heritage Softtail classic, among a few other ISTP type things.
Sometimes at the airport, I can spend 10 minutes staring at an airplane engine, figuring out what everything is just by following the wires and pipes and what it's function is (Let me tell you, just looking at a constant speed propeller and how it works and wondering who the hell came up with it can be quite humbling).
For my REAL job I do IT work (A+ when I was 16, I studied the hardware portion for 10 minutes after passing the software portion and still passed it) but I'm coming to HATE it because the company I work for REFUSES to make upgrades or fix problems without spending YEARs planning it out, before making the wrong move anyway (We installed new servers into our racks 2 years ago for an upgrade--They are still planning on how to do it...The servers will be obsolete before they are put on the network).
I just got transferred to California and have a year contract with the company. I'm spending that time getting new IT certs, working on my Commercial Pilots Certificate and skydiving.
Usually I'm outgoing at work, my boss says that I say things COMPLETELY as random. IE: We'll be working on a broken computer in silence, and I'll just blurt out "...You know, it should be legal to punch any homeless person that asks you for free money...right in the face.".
I was "home schooled" from aged 15...Home schooled is in quotes because I was really attending community college full time and working...the school board was not impressed with my antics, but my mom gave them a hard time and they relented. I ended up getting a "certificate in computer programming" but never graduated (I have 72 credits at the moment...).
I NEVER like to make plans. Including when going on international travel. I have plenty of time to think of which hotel to stay at while I'm waiting for my baggage to be unloaded from the plane...
Once I told my mom "I'm going to McDonalds, what would you like?" and took the order....then drove to New York for 2 days (and got a tattoo, at 16 years old). She was pissed at the time but now thinks it's funny.
TONS of other stories like that.
Even so, after work I'm usually reading a book or playing on the 'net. When I'm near people I'm usually making jokes, but I can speed a solid week without talking to ANYBODY and not even notice it until I say something to myself and think "That's the first spoken word's I've heard in 3 days...".
What do you guys think? Am I just crazy, conceited, or what? To be honest, I'm not so sure myself....
Any by the way....for some reason I get really creeped out when I re-read e-mails and notice that there are too many "I", "I'm" and "I'ves" in it...do you guys get the same way? I also overuse the word "Anyways" IMO.
