^ That would explain a lot. You get MUCH more snow than residents of Indiana. On the other hand, you've lived there your entire life, so one would think that you'd have some level of comfort (or at least tolerance) for driving in that sort of weather. How long have you been driving?

I say option 2 would be in the long run better but at the end of the day it's your decision and you have to live with it.

Ive been driving for almost 5 years i guess. And i am pretty good at driving in the snow, but if i had the choice i would not drive 40 minutes to work in a blizzard. I would call out. and they dont like that at all!!! I guess the reason im afraid/wary of driving is because of the many accidents i see in winter. Along with almost being in several myself but narrowly avoiding them.
