    The Death Penalty

Do you believe the death penalty is fair?

I believe if a criminal murders an innocent person, the death penalty should be applied. There is no reason to raise taxes in society just to feed them and keep them alive after they have murdered someone.

(Remember "killed" and "murdered" are two different things.)

I agree. If they were "proven" guilty.

Murder: The act of deliberate killing.
Homicide: The killing of one person by another, whether premeditated or unintentional.
Manslaughter: An act of killing a human being unlawfully, but not wilfully

Fair for whom - the individual (victim) and his/her family, or society as a collective?

    That's key.

Let us assume there is "proof beyond a reasonable doubt". Yes, assume he/she is proven guilty. To death or not?

    Death. I don't have a guilty conscious

I'd like to say no, there shouldn't be a death penalty, but I wouldn't know the real answer unless the person who was on trial for it killed someone I deeply loved.

Who is the (victim) that you're referring to? The murderer or the person he killed?

I'm ok with the death penalty. He/she must be proven guilty, of course.
While we're on the topic, let's make it more interesting. A murderer who has stabbed should be stabbed to death, a strangler should be strangled, and so on. A murderer, therefore chooses his own method of execution.
