Would an ISTJ stop persuing a woman if she chose her values over her duty?

I would rather not go into too much detail, because of privacy. It is something that I am supposed to do and it strongly interferes with my values but it is very bold of me to actually step up and say it.

That depends. I understand that you want to be conservative with the details, but what you're asking is a little too vague for me to make a definitve statement about. As a rule of thumb, if the girl I'm pursuing has similar values with me, then there shouldn't be too many problems as we're on the same page. Of course, my values coincide with my duties, but I certainly don't expect everyone to be like that.

Is it possible to give us a little more detail? Or does he read this forum?

Given the vague nature of your question, I wouldn't think so. It depends on what you value. If its something that's justifiable and important to you and something the ISTJ can relate to, he would see that your decision is one that he can respect, if not agree to. Thus, he shouldn't think badly of you.

If I post what it is can I erase it right afterwards?

Yeah, you can edit it out, but I don't know if that applies to people that may quote you.

    It's that bad, huh?

It looks like I can so I will go ahead and say. If I had a job that required me to be rough, assertive, detail oriented, and masculine and I am ashamed to do it, and he has the same job.

Its not bad, I would just be embarrased if someone came across this and knew it was me.

What? I'm a little confused by what you're asking.

I don't want to do my job, but I am stuck with it because of a contract. I am thinking about just leaving which wouldn't look good.

ok, so your values conflict with your job, but leaving it would be like not fulfilling your duties. So you're worried if your ISTJ LI would be upset that you left a job and backed out of a contract because it conflicted with your values?
