I have a (non-negative) rant: I love using public transportation

I mean, it's the best of both worlds: I get to where I need to go, and I don't have to worry about paying attention while I'm doing it. Buses, trains, planes, doesn't matter. It allows me to sit quietly and reflect on whatever it is I'm thinking, or I can simply just watch the scenery roll by. Public trans is also safer than driving myself. I can't wait for the day when cars will be completely under the control of computers

While I'm dreaming, I want my own personal robot butler. Tell me that would be kick-ass

Public transportation in my neck of the woods sucks. The buses ONLY run within city limits and an hour apart. So ... if you have to go from the south end to the north end, plan on spending at least two hours riding the bus, and changing buses. And paying two separate fares, because we don't "do" transfers here. Oh and did I mention they quit running at 1800 hours and don't run at all on Sundays? You either have to have a car or you're screwed.

Yeah, I'm in DC. It's not a problem here

Well this is also the "rave" thread. So not everything needs to be a rant.

Sort of. The closest metro station for me is in a very bad neighborhood... but yeah, other than that, it's good

So you have to take the green line I take it? I've heard the green line is the bad one.

Hmm, that's pretty good. You've been through the area?

Yeah, East DC is one big dump. I'm glad I'm leaving

    <--Really good at being creepy

But srsly, yeah, I've been to DC once. I have family there and while riding around on the city's metro my uncle told me to never ride the green line.

It depends on... um... how you look, but generally speaking, that's a good rule. Also, sorry to see that you died there. Didn't realize I was that boring

I don't mind taking the public transportation if they come on time. Especially the buses. Sometimes I have to wait for quite a while when it's not on schedule. I haven't taken any in recent years.
