Did I mention NASCAR already? It always puts me in a much better mood. My favorite race of the entire year (Talladega) was ran yesterday. It was almost better than XMas, and would have been, except for the fact that The Big One DID NOT HAPPEN. Grrr.

Wow...I would so not survive being an ISTJ... when I am depressed I usually head out and sing my heart out at karaoke or even just an online or home based system! The upbeat rhythm of music coupled with specific lyrics invigorate and lift my senses making them soar once again or the mellow sad words and solemn tune sooth and caress the pain or depression straight out of my heart and soul...
And of course as an ENFP; depression never stays too long as my mood usually lifts quite easily and quickly
Oh but mood swings...that's an entirely different story!

My ISTJ SO...he tends to do all of the stuff you people have mentioned; esp the exercise and he listens to his fav music while sorting / filing old paperwork...ripping it up into little pieces for the trash can! Seems to work for him.

Personally when he's depressed I give him his space but check in from time to time but not too often and if it goes on too long...I attack him and make him laugh!!! Works like a charm!

You don't have "GIT R DONE" tattooed on you, do you?

The only people that I know are into NASCAR are a few of my uncles and man are they rednecks. They're all about wearing John Deere hats and hunting and have big diesel dualie trucks.

I can assure you that none of my tattoos say "git r done", and I do not wear John Deere hats (or any other baseball-style caps for that matter; I hate hats because I'm so picky about my hair being styled right when in public). The only type of "hunting" I've ever done is for morel mushrooms, and I own a standard/common passenger car. So sorry to bust your preconceived stereotype.
