there seems to be alot of them. im a young guy so all the jobs i take are entry level minimum wage positions. and almost every time there is some very petty pittiful asshole who acts like he is five years old. do you guys notice this and how do you deal with it?

You know, a lot of the time those types of people can't tell that your insulting them if you do it subtly enough. Be careful though, because if they do figure it out you might be getting a smack.

That covers a lot of ground. If the a-hole is your boss you bite your lip if you want to keep your job. If it's a coworker there's always violence, after work of course. ;)

Get used to it. If you're just starting in the work force you've got a lifetime of this ahead of you. If you can't deal with people like that you might want to think about changing fields where it won't be such an issue.

Ugh I deal with a lot of idiots. I work at Target, but I call it Targhetto.... because all the people management hire are *drum role*: Lazy, Thief's, Criminals, Poor Social Skills... Omg I could go on forever. One guy that they hired was found on the six a clock news for armed robbery! It pisses me of so much, because they elect this assholes as mini managers who start telling me stuff I already know (ps it isn't in their job title or pay). Don't you just hate it when bird brains get a little bit of ego to their heads? Because then they think they have the right to tell everyone what to do.

How do I deal with it? Sometimes I do confront them... Sometimes I don't. Its just overall annoying because you see how many fucktards are in the world.

I don't think there's really anything you can do about it, Jess. You just have to put up with them or get another job.

This may not work for you!! how do i with such people ( this is a step by step process for me) 1 Ignore them: their either trying to get your attention or want to get you up set. 2 Glare at them then make a big sigh. (repeat this once!) . 3 If it get too much, call them away privately, and ask them nicely to stop it, but be decisive!!!!!!
4 If that does not work tell them your mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to deal with them? You accept that the reason people act like that often has reasons you're unaware of, and that you'll never know. You won't be able to change their behaviour, so you either have to act like it doesn't affect you at all or just stay distant. At least that's what works for me. If you're positive to them even though they're being idiots, there's not really anything they can do.

I use to work in a call centre for a government department, a magnet for society's ... dead flesh lol. I found the best way to deal with cretins (not the sort from Crete) can be a mixture of keeping calm (crucial), being armed with the facts, being acutely sensitive to the callers tone of voice, also being careful in how you word what you say. So many times I was helping potential 'assholes', however, being sensitive to the tone of voice of the caller and careful with my choice of words, avoided many people giving me trouble. Although there were some people that just wanted their pound of flesh. Being calm in those instances was so important. I must admit occasionally my face was beaming with heat because of some of the callers, however, it has been a wonderful source of inspiration for jokes about some of the drop kicks that phoned up to share with hot chicks LOL!
