    Tell Me About Your Blunders

So, we all know that ISTJs are awesome, that's an undeniable fact, but every now and again we do (regrettably) screw something up.

A little while back I was putting together a cabinet. When anyone brings home furniture of any type, it's on me to make sure it gets assembled, and I've put up tons of cabinets. This time though, after I finished nailing on the backboard, I stood it up and realized it was on backwards. It was quite the amusing fiasco after I got over the frustration.

Today my brother (not an ISTJ) screwed his door back on. Also backwards.

It happens from time to time, people mess up. What I want to know, is how you've messed up. So, tell me about something, funny or not, that you've flubbed. And don't worry, I'm not going to tell anyone.

Once during finals week I was so busy thinking about my exams and term papers I put the breakfast cereal in the refrigerator and the milk in the cupboard. Yea...the roommates didn't appreciate that little trick one bit.

And an interview blunder, a few years ago I had an interview with United Airlines. At one point they asked me why I wanted to work for United. Trying to be charming over the phone I said, "Well to help fly the friendly skies." Tiny problem..."Fly the Friendly Skies" is the slogan for American Airlines. Unfortunately the interviewer didn't like my answer, didn't find it funny or charming, and the interview ended. Wooops!

I think the Type 6s dislike "messing up" even more than the rest of us. And maybe remember it longer.

    Let's see...

Once I wrote in the wrong chat window. It was pretty obvious, to me, but the person didn't catch on.

That's all I can think of atm. Haha.

I accidentally went in the mens restroom, saw the urinals, spun around very quickly and made a quick exit. I overheard laughter but was unsure if they were laughing at me. Then another time I glanced at the darn sign before going in the restroom and I overheard a man say,"It`s the ladies room." (That was probably another ISTJ.)This is Not like me at all. I wondered what was going on with me that day because I have done that only once in my adult life.

I'm actually perfect and never make any mistakes such as the ones already mentioned in this thread.

Aw man, that sounds like something I would do. Things like this happen to me all the time... But, I think that's just kind of natural for ENTP..

I think ISTJs probably mess up far less, because you guys have a handle on things to a much more concrete degree. I envy this!

Anyway.. I've put on clothing upside down and inside out a few times. Once I put on pants inside out. That was awkward. You'd think I would have noticed.

I drop things a lot. It just seems to slip out of my hands, because my brain is elsewhere. It's so frustrating when your brain doesn't follow your movements. People have actually thought I've done these things on purpose because it happens so often, and it looks as if I should be able to prevent it. But, no matter how hard I try...

When it rains, it pours, I tell ya!

My credit card went missing when I was trying to clean my room. I found it one month later on the top shelf of my closet. I wonder how I ended up putting it there.

Another time I lost my wallet because it fell out of my pocket into a snow drift. Eventually it turned up one month later when all the snow had melted. At least I did not have to get a new license, but I had to pay $20 for a new ID card and replace the credit card. I have had a hard time keeping up with my wallet and wish that the pockets in my jeans were made deeper. I don't like having to carry a purse, but I am likely to be absentminded about purses and leave them behind.

Don't even get me started! I put my shirts on backwards and inside out, I look for something right after someone else says it isn't there, attempts at saying words hae turned into "blubkmffflebleble"...

yeah! what's up with girls' pants having no pockets?! purses end up hurting back/shoulders. I end up carrying backpacks, but then it looks like i'm a student or going to the library all the time.

hm, times I've blundered. plenty... the other day, I told our new neighbors who came over to meet us that our dog "only bites." oops. this while our dog rushes out the door to bark at them.

    I'm always losing things.

I forget to shred old credit/bank cards. I have 3 bank cards and 4 credit cards in my purse and 5 of them don't work.....

I opened a drink during class and it exploded on me. The old fart of a teacher didn't notice and I had a definite odor of grape soda at choir rehearsal that night.
