I didn't notice a thread for people's pets, although there could very well be one. I was wondering what pets you all have and what is your favorite pet? i.e. cat, dog, etc.

I live on a farm of sorts and I have 4 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats, a parakeet, and some chickens. My favorite pet is a cat I call "Spider Kitty", as he likes to walk on the ceiling when I hold him up there.

I don't have any and it's horribly depressing. I'd do anything for a cat. Something to cuddle and cheer me up on those down days...

I have 3 cats and I love them like my children. Or what I imagine I'd love my children like. Although I don't like children. So I'll just get more cats when I'm a grown up.

But yes, I severely miss them when I'm away from home and when I do go back to visit I spend 90% of my time stroking them/playing with them/looking for them/waking them up. Haha. I had another cat before, he died when he was only 6 because of a blood clot in his back legs, I cried for about 3 days, it wasn't good.

I've had various hamsters and gerbils and fish over the years, but you can't compare that to the companionship of 3 ridiculous cats.

I live in the suburbs of L.A. but scored by living in this arrangement where we have two houses on a relatively large piece of land for this part of the state behind a gate. It's like a tiny urban commune.

Aside from a veggie garden and fruit trees, there are a multitude of dogs and cats here, it's rad. There's a couple in particular who hang out with me a lot - and there's pictures of me with both of them in my profile album.

    Kittehs are love.

My best childhood friend of 11 years was a budgerigar parakeet. Got him in first grade and he died my junior year... that was a hard year. He is irreplaceable, and I will always miss him. The sort of relationship we developed is impossible to explain.

In-between pets, I've always had a betta fish. I need some sort of life in my room. They can be pretty social actually, not the stereotypical pet fish that you can't interact with. My first 2 betta fish each lived up to 3 years, and my current one is over 1.

Before I moved away from home, I had a pet Labrador retriever. I swear he's an IXXP. I want to say INFP or ISFP. I lub him more than he lubs me. I miss him dearly and will try to spend plenty of time with him whenever I visit home. I facetime him along with my younger brother now that I'm away. :P

I really love my pets. I've found myself to love some people the way I love certain animals, and it's one of the dearest feelings I've ever come to know.

Yeah, I feel you there. I lived in the city last year with just my parakeet. I really missed my dogs and cats.

That's too bad about the parakeet. Was he able to say any words? I read that parakeets can learn words. They're quite the clever little birds.

Well, in my country, most of us live in pigeon-hole flats. Sure we could have a pet or two in our small living space, but my mum absolutely hated the idea of keeping any sort of pets even small fishes...

Since young though, I loved cats. Everytime we visit an aunt's house, I just can't get enough of stroking and cuddling em furry kittehs. At one point, it looked like me and one of her cats appear so attached, she offered me to bring him (male cat with tiger-like colours) home. Too bad my mum stood in the way...lol

Come to think of it, aren't cats a bit like us ISFPs? I mean, we only seek attention when we "want/need to"...the way cats don't need much or constant attention kinda resembles our need to be alone? :P

I have one cat. I adopted her when I was in depression 4 years ago :). She's such a little baby haha. She's already 5 but still acts like a kitten.

    Cats are just so awesome.
