IFSPs just need a lot of space

I haven't seen her in a while (summer holidays and such), but we've been getting along a lot better. I suppose she was just really shy or legitimately stressed out for a while. After I 'gave up' she suddenly initiated contact with me again, we talked a lot again, and I asked her if she wanted to go somewhere with me this summer, and she said yes and was really excited, so I think everything is fine right now. ISFPs just need lots of space, but I kind of like that. I need space too. It was just unusual at first, because mostly I'm the one who thinks things are going too fast/people are being too 'close'.

I understand her a lot better now, and we're more similar than I would've thought really.

So awkward to see this thread popping up again all the time, but apparently I'm not the only xNxP who's walked into this, so it does serve a purpose I suppose. The best thing you
My SO is ISFP- I have decided to NOT take things personally. After 2 1/2 weeks of coolness we re-connected. It was opening night of his play- his stress was over. He could breathe.
He actually thanked me for being patient with him. He explained that he does not express emotions in public. He keeps that separate- it is private for him. Being ENFP I want to HUG all of the actors and high five the janitor for doing such a good job. I recognize our differences.
What do I focus on? What he is telling me in private. The magnetic attraction we have. His happiness when we are together. If an ISFP will let me into his world and express emotions, yes I will have patience when he needs his space too.

    Dimensional Transition thanked this post.
