I used to say I didn't have any heros until this question came up enough times where I decided I should make a list so I don't feel left out, lol. My list of 2:

My Grandma - I learned a lot from listening to her stories of how she grew up, and she helped me appreciate who I was, and where I was. She gave me a lot to think about and learn from. To this day she always says the right words to me when I need them most, and I don't know how she does that. The same could almost be said of my dad. She's my hero because I believe that without her, there would be a lot of instability at the core of my being... she provided me tools to build myself, and she knew how to love me, whether or not I liked it at the time.

Mother Theresa - I feel less alone when I read writings by her... She has this amazing supernatural love that I feel the whole world would benefit so greatly from, if everybody would share her sort of love. Really sets a high example of how to love, what it means to be in love with God, love people, etc. She's showed me how to view others, view myself, and in a sense, live life to the fullest. I am still aspiring to capture that spirit within myself.

But FTR, I don't idolize either of them. I guess more appropriately, they're like role-models/mentors to me.

Like some other posters, I don't have a hero and have never really had one. I don't like the idea of having to live up to or alter who I am to try and be like someone else.
Well I'm just taking about him not the country but I don't care I am initialed to my opinion and its not like I am a racist or anti-Semitic so I just threw that out beacuase I wanted to show everyone that it doesn't matter who it is I just wanna know if you have a hero. and he is mine.

Idols don't really exist to me... Just people I find interesting. : )

Jim Morrison and Maynard James Keenan are two people I am really into lately.

I have musician "heroes" or people I'd like to be as good or almost as good as, but I'm more into picking characters to idolize such as Robin Hood or Zorro.
