    Machines

ISTPs have this vibe for being drawn to vehicles and machines, but what about you ISFPs? Are any of you attracted (preferably from an aesthetic point of view) to vehicles?

For me, I like the looks of some airplane models or helicopters:

    What about yourselves?

They don't necessarily have to be means of transportation. What about architecture?

actually yes I am. And I was convinced I was an ISTP because of it for a long time. I think I am drawn to machines mainly because of the people that influenced me the most, however my machines have much more of an aesthetic flare than most of my friends' machines ( I like old tractors, farm or lawn and garden).

**I may edit this post later, I'm a little under the influence at the moment...

When I was quite young, I had an obsession with Stingray Corvettes. In high school, it was VW Bugs (I even got to drive one - 1967 with horsehair seats and no real heater- my senior year. It was a cold winter, but totally worth it. haha). My dad is big on old cars, old tractors, old trains, old camping trailers, and old gizmos in general. I have seen my share of old car shows, thresher's reunions, and auto/train museums. I enjoy all of that stuff too, but I rarely get beyond the aesthetic of the object and I could not tell you the year or make of most vehicles (including the one I am driving now- haha). I do love old things, though...

I don't really like any sort of technical machines aside from computers and phones. Aesthetically, vehicles and planes do nothing for me, and I don't really understand them or care to. I don't have a "dream car" like many people do, either. Also, if I take something apart, I don't have a shot in hell of being able to reassemble it. Those are sensor qualities, aren't they? D:

Architecture I can definitely appreciate though. My aunt's an architect, and I find her work really interesting.

Space ships, especially the mid-century sleek ones with the delicious fins.
    Blue Subaru WRXs.
    The Catbus...
Actually I like things that move. Trains are awesome to look at, especially old ones.
I like diesel submarines and aircraft carriers, battleships. UH-60 Blackhawks.
Far as architecture is concerned: any of the places designed by Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, or Pierre Keonig. I'm a huge fan of Mid-Century Modern design, especially Googie signs! Also a fan of Irish castles...
I'm a little all over the place. :)

    STARGATE!

And almost everything you can find in every armed forces' arsenal. Except warships. They looked so dull, colorless and slow, relatively.

Same here. Never have really been into machinery. lol unless maybe it was exploding in a war movie. I never have really had a "dream car" either. Architecture is ok but im not big on that either.

I have always had a bit of a dislike towards machines. But I find the silhouette/function of half machine half human type things very intriguing. For example a person on a motorcycle or a person hang gliding.
