When you take photos of a random piece of blank sky because it is such a beautiful blue today and you want to share it with everyone (but no-one else "gets" it!)
... when you know the exact thing to do to make someone feel special and important.
... when you know the right thing to say to comfort someone and make them feel safe.
... when people don't understand where you're coming from most of the time.
... when it's easier to just be quiet than have your opinion scrutinized.
... when your decisions and actions are based on how you feel about them.
... when, sometimes, someones mood rubs off on you.
... when your interest is peaked by things that others find pointless.
... when you're more happy being independent than having to rely on anyone else.
... when you're likely to feel a frisson more than most people.
... when someone elses feelings are more important than your own. You're sometimes self-sacrificial.
Sorry if other people have said these already XD
When you're even nervous to post here, in the case that nobody understands you/you aren't actually an ISFP...
When you grudgingly get dragged along to a sleepover and you're terrified your mom will go through your room while you're gone.
The first thing I thought of when I saw this thread was sketching things during physics.
My INFP friend draws random squiggles and abstract patterns and I just take out pens from my pencil case and I start to copy them in my notebook. And then there's the INFJ friend who's the only one listening haha. I just cannot focus in physics. Or chemistry, but that's a different story.
Sucking at literary analysis of passages and complaining that "maybe the author didn't mean that at all" could apply too. And the INFJ friend is just staring at your hopeless little self, while you say "I want to go home and just strum my guitar", trying to understand what's so painful about all of this.
That's pretty much my life right there.
- When your computer is just an extension of yourself as it's filled with all the pictures and folders & folders of inspirational images, all randomly and chaotically over the place. You wouldn't feel comfortable, say lending your computer to someone to use.
- Everything you buy has to be aesthetically pleasing. Even if it's just a pen or folder.
- You only buy magazines so you can put the photos on your wall.
- When the border on the left side of a paper is solely for doodling purpose:)
- It's easy to snap out of the negative mental loop unlike INFP's. You can be absolutely depressive one night, and see no hope for the future. Then have something distract you (which is most likely everything) and feel completely, and totally happy within hours.
- You believe comfortable silences are a sign of a good friendship.
- You wish you were born in the late 60's early 70's so you could be a hippy!
- You think E's are intimidating, T's are soul-less, J's need to loosen up even though you envy them, and N's are amazing.
- The best art, conversations and ideas come about the hours of 1am-4am.
When you're totally new to a website, feel nervous about committing to a certain "type" and have to close your eyes and just hit "reply", 'cause you're worried you're in the wrong place. But do it anyway 'cause why not right?
When something tragic has happened that's never happened before in your life makes you avoid listening to music. Because you know you'll ruin any music you'll listen to because it'll be forever connected to what you're feeling.
When you feel sad for "no reason", then later looking back on your day realize that someone did something to make you feel that way that you didn't even notice.
When you feel more understood by your dog than anyone else.
-When you love staying up very late at night because it's calm and quiet and you can do whatever you want, be it drawing, watching movies, listening to music, reading, etc.
-When one of your cats is constantly grumpy and hates being picked up, but you pick that cat up anyway and risk the scratches because you can't live without fuzzy kitty hugs.
-When you admire Ts because you wish you could be that logical and unaffected by your emotions. *coughsherlockholmescough*
-When you can tell the difference a certain pencil, pen, or type of paper makes on a drawing, and get slightly panicked when you can't decide which combination would be best for the specific drawing you have in mind.
-When you love people in general but are scared of them at the same time.
-When you wish you could read minds so that you could make other people happier by telling what they need.
