ISFP: Why are we considered misunderstood?

Most of the profiles of an ISFP in the "ISFP Article" forum explains that ISFP's are the most misunderstood all types, do you feel frequently missunderstood?

It may be due to our top function being Fi, but INFP also uses this as often as us.

How they explain what they want to say and make me feel how it feels rather than telling me straight out and giving me an explanation. It complicates everything. I don't think this apply to all ISFPs but to the ones I've met. It's always hard to understand how they feel or how they want to say what they want to say. I try to grasp an understanding of what my friend is trying to say for example.

I know I'm always expressing things incorrectly- it's like it doesn't come out right, dunno. And it gets misinterpreted, so makes sense I would be misunderstood. That's what I love about art, it can be vague and that's just fine.

Well I feel that most people don't understand me... I guess we're often misunderstood because we're the quiet, reserved type. We have trouble communicating through words and all. (I do anyways)

I think people take what I say too literally, like it takes a certain kind of person to pick up on the meaning hidden behind my words, or at least to ask "hey what did you mean by that?" I guess I'm just not direct enough, like I'm always trying to soften my words for people and a lot of meaning gets lost in the process.

I don't know why they say what they say but i do know that i agree.

I'm horrible at expressing myself verbally. I also put up somewhat of a personality front to keep people away from me. :(

@Brainheart-we r on the same boat dear friend. people interpret stuff in a different way than me. as a result of that, i don't say anything aloud much.
