And I hope some identified N can come in to help.
It's not harder for me to draw a face from a model or a reference photo, but I can't duplicate the facial features easily, and what I draw ends up looking nothing like what I thought I was drawing.
So someone just gave me this post on ISFP and INFP. It's long and I haven't read through. Might be helpful for you.
Recognizing the Inferior Function in ISFPs
So again it's not about you ability to draw, but your preference.
Maybe you are very good at drawing from a model but you have no desire to draw a picture that looks like what's in front of you because there is no point in doing so. (N)
On the other hand, you might have a lot of problems drawing realistically but you strive to improve your skill in order to be able to do so. (S)
You mention that what you draw ends up looking nothing like what you thought you was drawing.
Was it because of you skill level that prevented you from drawing realistically, which was what you aim to do? Or did you intentionally change the facial features and avoid making a realistic picture? In other words, was it just a technical problem or a matter of intention?
I'm not sure. I try to draw someone, and then I unintentionally draw them completely different. I don't do that when I imagine someone.
Just so you guys know, you can't change type. Your dominant function will have been the same for your entire life, you can only misunderstand it and think it's something else.
So you cannot 'become ISFP', you either are or aren't one.
