    ISFJ - The Nurturers

I think sometimes I resent the drama tactics of the extroverted people. Because I speak so softly, I can not and will not try to compete to be heard. Being soft spoken apparently lends the appearance that anything I might have to say must be inconsequential. I find myself relying on my sense of humor to make my point at times, some of the most serious things can be said in jest, and are somehow more pallet-able.

I've dated someone who could have been ISFP or INTP, I could never tell for SURE.... and I think what others said about the NFs being too reflective and overanalyzing could be a problem for some ISFPs, no offence, I mean, it depends completely on the individual..... but I have to say that I think the obvious problems might also be those that actually cause trouble: different perspectives on life, like planning the future, making appointments, possibly very different attitudes towards discipline (no offense, this is just my personal experience with ONE possible (!) (possibly unhealthy) ISFP)......
I think it could work pretty well if both are healthy (I think any pairing could work).....

EXACTLY. I think I spend so much time listening to other people's problems I am not given a chance to really express mine. Not that anyone understands me anyway ;) I'm an ISFP after all.

My best friend is ENTJ. My boyfriend is INTJ and we've had tons of problems over the years. We have alot of differences in our ideas about parenting our daughter too. Our communication is better than it used to be but it still isn't very strong. I suspect our personality types play a big role in this. For him everything is science and logic...and for me it's all about how I FEEL about things. I am interested in how people work....him...not so much.

I also have a friend who is INTJ tho we aren't all that close. My brother in law is INTJ and we get along very well. My sister is INFP and we get along MOST of the time. She can be too serious and sensitive sometimes and that causes problems. I tend to brush things off and forgive easier.

I think it says something that my best friend is ENTJ. She is my balance. She is a take charge, list making, outspoken, and very honest person. We have the same sense of humor and support each other no matter what. She doesn't get my ability to let things go....and not take stuff too seriously...you know..like working and stuff like that ;)

Anyone else an Introvert with an Extrovert best friend?

Yep! My best friend is an ENFJ (although law school turned her from a P to a J!)

She's amazing and I don't know what I would do without her

My ex was an extrovert of some sort. Whatever she was, I'll try to avoid them at all costs.

I couldn't stand it if I had a boyfriend who kept flirting with others :(
