I heard on the news that the hurricane is causing evacuation, i bet that is frightening, anyone there or know someone who is?

I plan to buy a handful of dry groceries tomorrow, and all my upcoming meals will be coming from the fridge and freezer so that they are as empty as possible in case the power goes out. I'm not worried about it. I'm not close to the shore, and I intend to unplug everything in my home when it all begins. I'll make sure my phone and handheld gaming systems are charged.

Without power, I will have no Internet access on my laptop. However, I should be able to use my SmartPhone and my data service.

I would like to think that anyone that's in the direct path isn't there anymore (i.e. has evacuated).

Having said that, I lost power for two days this past spring when a tornado came through; I am fortunate enough to live about a mile from a convenience store/gas station (mom and pop store; know the owners) that I charged my phone at every morning.

I live in North Carolina but not in the outer banks or very close to the ocean. Close enough though. Ain't nothing new for me.

think it if you want, but there are alot of stubborn and poor people out there. They are saying that they wont be arrested (which im sure would be a huge undertaking) if they stay. So chances are there are at least some still roaming the web.

My brother has to evacuate by 4 PM tomorrow. He lives in New Jersey.
