ISFJs & INTPs?

Well, I just discovered this site today, and found it very interesting because all the different personality types really intrigue me. The only way I would have ever known about the 16 personality types is because of this guy that I have a "non-labeled relationship" with (I guess that's what you can call it, hah), and he happens to be an INTP.
I've read a lot about the difficulties that ISFJs and INTPs have relationship wise, but I would like to hear anyones thoughts about this, just out of curiousity. Preferably I would want to hear from INTPs or ISFJs themselves, but I don't mind if anyone wants to input their thoughts. (:

As for the INTP; I think you should be direct with him. Not the type to be able to catch on to hints at all and he won't be offended either. Good luck.

Hm yeah he has told me he doesn't catch on to things such as emotions easily, and I actually do understand that due to his personality type. I just find it difficult for me to be direct to people sometimes, but I suppose I should try.

My stepmother is an ISFJ and although she is a good person, she can be a little too traditional and she think she needs to do everything for everyone.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are an INTP and ISFJ couple (if you can call them a couple...). I see a similar dynamic between them and my INTP sister and ISFJ brother. Either way, I would say that those two types go well together and use each other's strengths to cover up the other's weaknesses (based on my own observation, so I could be wrong).
